I'm glad someone else has found great enjoyment in the game, and you get used to playing around the sun. Later on it can even be a fun challenge to deliberately play in it.I Hope this helps. :D
Fought a boss in the sun, i was running around it then some ennemies engage in the fight too! IT was pretty challenging but damn fun!
I'll wait for the patch then! Thank you for answering! :)

Right-Click V Rising > Properties > Betas > Beta Participation > Select Game Version
I am sorry for your loss.
The Dev's never officially came out and told anyone. They kept it to themselves until it was forced out of them through questioning in discord. There was no official announcement. I know because the person who asked gets upset I even bring it up because he's the one who asked.
"Q: Will there be a forced wipe once the announced content releases?
A: Jeremy Bearson — Yup! It'll involve map changes and other deeper changes that require a new map to take effect, so if you want to play on the new stuff you need to update and generate a new map."
I'll wait the update then i'll go back to sucking blood of everything!
I know that there is an option to start game with better gear to advance faster, but I would still need to manually kill every V blood which might take a whole day.
Unless they remove it in 1.1 there is a setting on the last page of server settings when starting a new game/server, although I run solo only and don't know if it is true for non-solo games.
The three features there is starting gear tier, starting resources and finally just level. As in level 1-90. This final feature is equivalent of gear level possible at a certain point of killing V Bloods, and when you start the game you have V Bloods and their rewards (both crafting/building stuff, vampire powers and spells) unlocked to that level/tier.
Currently, it IS possible to unlock V bloods immediately upon starting a game.
I selected
- max gear level
- max resources
- max 90 level
on Brutal difficulty
And it instantly unlocked all V bloods up to level 89. Only 2 highest level bosses (level 91 and 93) are locked and need to be killed. But that's probably due to Brutal difficulty.
So, conclusion : unless developers change this, restarting a private server (solo or with friends) after wipe can be done very easily. Players will still need to rebuild castle, recapture slaves, regather spell gemstones.
But even so, it's VERY generous of developers.
They should really mention this in a big announcement, so that concerned players would not be afraid of the patch.
As per my post above, only the level part matters for V Blood. The level part unlocks V Blood rewards(Buildings/items/spells) up to the level you choose.
