Game settings for brutal that aren't cheese?
I've officially given up on playing this without tweaking some settings a little. There's no way the developers intended for this game to be played through on Brutal solo. Sadly, I have to for achievements. I've no doubt I could solo this game on normal difficulty and i'm just gonna take that as a win for myself.

I'm looking for people who've bothered touching the game settings if they think there's any good tweaks to damage/hp etc. that don't feel like easymode (I still want a challenge) but does give me a bit of an edge to make up for the fact that every freaking boss in this game has 10+ other people that can easily nuke your hp protecting them like the president.

I do enjoy this game a lot but the bosses are some of the most garbage designed bosses i've ever seen for a solo person to attempt. Sure, in a group it's fine and if that's the intended way sure w/e but solo there was absolutely 0 thought put into it

I'm about to finish act 1 on my first brutal run.

I set my health slightly higher (+0.25) and similar for damage, as i can't see myself sweating vs Matka or Adam.

So far it's been pretty easy (this is my 4th playthrough), but i know some bosses will be a pain even with the those bonuses.

I've also seen people soloing all bosses with zero damage taken on brutal, but not everyone has those skills.

Feel free to tweak those settings as you like (after you started a game you can easily change those values in the file with Notepad++) as this is a game and what matters is to have fun.
Personal suggestion is simply dont go overboard with buffs and try keep the ratio challenge/fun balanced to YOUR preference, thats what those settings are for.

Yea, I tweaked them up to 1.5 instead of 1 and the damage is noticable so much. I'm in the 50s and for some reason some enemies in the 20's and 30s that are just basic mobs don't get 1 shot or even 2 shot it takes a full combo to kill some of them. It's honestly insane how much health everything has. I'd imagine going into default difficulty this game would feel beyond easy now after all the suffering
Brutal mode on solo is suppose to be a real challenge for players. It does not suppose to be somewhat hard - it is called brutal for a reason. It is a challenge - take it like new game ++ - it can feel quite steep in comparison to standard settings, but it is beatable. If you are cheesing it you lose part of the replayability and fun - imo.

Hmm, well I'm moving on to the final 5 bosses on brutal solo and the only things I've tweeked were the drop amount and speed of refining and crafting. I use a caster build so I guess a lot of people see that as cheese but I can see how different builds might have same, easier, or harder times compared to my own when it comes to certain bosses. On occasion I've had to drop one of my spells for a shield spell because the aggressive nature or bullet hell a boss might do but so far I've done them in one go or maybe around 5 or so tries. The one boss I've had major issue with was Valencia and how much she tries to manuever in to you and kick you in to the iron maiden, but even then, when she goes for the flurry attack, I used frost barrier which was an absolutely surprise of a nuke and does staggering damage as a caster if you trigger most of the 8 charges it has.

That could all change with this last hurdle but I got Talzur down without too much trouble so only 4 more to go. I know I heard from stories that brutal Dracula is a nightmare so I'm interested to see how I can manage it.
