Can anyone give a Step by step guide for Multiplayer?
Hey everyone, my brother and I are wishing to play together in a private world but there's no concrete guide on how. I understand what I have to do as host but not what my brother needs to do on his end. So if anyone can make a full guide on how to Co-op please provide it. It'd be a big help for everyone.

First Time Playing :
Start Game > Click Play > Click Private Game >

Select Difficulty Preset > Click Advanced Settings >

Click Solo ( For Single Player ) > Optionally Adjust Server Settings >

Input Game Name Or World Name > Set Password > Click Start New Game

Return Playing :
Start Game > Click Load Game >

Under Local Saves - Select Your Save Or World Name > Click Host Game

Note :
You'll want to find the setting for Concurrent Players and set it to 2. This only has to be done once unless you plan on removing or adding players later.

Start Game > Load Game > Under Local Saves - Select Your Save Or World Name > Change Max Concurrent Players To 2

The friend you are trying to invite can be sent a friend request through steam friends list. The host of the server must have it loaded up 100% before doing so.

The friend can also join through searching on the server list. If the player has played on the server before, he or she can select the load game option to see recently played servers.

Clan & Player Options :
The Social screen can be accessed by pressing the P key. Here you'll find a list of players on the server with options to choose from.

There are various guides to choose from if you need help.

You can also adjust server settings to fit your needs. I don't touch it but others do to make the grind much easier.

Fair Warning : A major update is on the way. Some believe it's supposed to be around May. There will be forced restarts if you plan to play the new update.

You'll still be able to play your old save by reverting to a previous version, but in order to play the new content update, you'll have to start over. Hopefully, this will be their last major update that requires a restart for new content.

Play Old Incompatible Saves :
Right-Click V Rising > Properties > Betas > Beta Participation > Select Game Version

Okay thanks. But see I started a solo private game on my PC for me and my twin to share as we weren't sure his laptop could handle the game but I can't find where the saves are as going to where save games should be there's no save folder there so I'm not sure if making a new private server with the same world name would delete my current solo world or not. So if I wanted to delete this solo world what would I do as no save folder to find it seems

The game saves periodically and also when you select save and exit. You can also back up your saves manually.

The Cloud And Local Saves Can Be Found :
C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\LocalLow\Stunlock Studios

%appdata%\..\LocalLow\
( copy/paste that line in your file explorer and hit enter )

Locate Stunlock Studios Folder > Copy & Paste Stunlock Studio Folder To A Safe Location

You can delete worlds or servers in-game by going to load game. Or you can do it through the appdata folder.

Okay so instead of selecting continue I select load game and I can delete the world from there? I only thought I'd delete the current world as some have said playing V rising solo is more like testing the game out since it'd meant for co op or PvP not solo play much. But me and my twin taking turns we got to matka the curse weaver but playing together I guess would be more fun

Yes, load game. The continue option is there for those who want to play the last previous server but I would just select load game. And you can delete the world save or server in that load game menu.

Okay thanks alot. I just wanted help since nothing online seemed to cover everything even though the game has been out for some time I guess here's hoping my bro's laptop doesn't lag during play his laptop was made to play X com 2 so I guess there's that

No problem. Feel free to ask and I or others will answer.
Enjoy your game. 🦇
One other question does my twin need to make his own game world before joining mine to make his character or do I just invite him into my world and then he makes his character from there?
Xero Jan 3 @ 5:57pm
Anytime someone joins a server, they are given the chance to create a character before entering the world. You can send an invite and your friend will be given the option to create a new character.

Okay since we're both in the same house should I check LAN when making the world too? As I'm not sure what it means sadly
How can I invite him I can right click his name in friend list but all it gives me is invite to watch not invite to game so I'm not sure what to do

LAN should be selected when you are online but you want the server to remain offline. It creates a local area network server versus one that is shared publicly. You can also select LAN when playing completely offline with steam in offline mode.

When playing with a friend over the internet, LAN should not be selected.

Your friend will have to complete the tutorial area where he or she will enter the actual world map. Did you change setting for Concurrent Players to be set to 2? This only has to be done once unless you plan on removing or adding players later.

Start Game > Load Game > Under Local Saves - Select Your Save Or World Name > Change Max Concurrent Players To 2
