Minor suggestion for fishing
I'm not sure if the creators are even taking suggestions and if this is the correct spot, but I'd like to get my ideas out anyways.

Getting into late game it becomes difficult to keep up with the demand for misery reducing fish in order to keep our 100% prisoners happy. Most of my group has spent hours fishing with very little results. Most of what we get from fishing actually doesn't end up being fish, and while this is cool in other games, and sometimes supplies the books we're missing or cool hats, when its the majority of what you receive, it becomes a determent to your progress when all you want is a nice rainbow trout.

I have a few solutions to this issue:
1. Increase the rates that fish are received from fishing. Doesn't even have to be the rates of misery reducing fish, just fish in general compared to the treasure loot such as hats and ingots. Its always so disappointing to go fishing for hours only to come back full of gems and fish bones, but only 3 fat gobys.
2. Decrease the time it takes for fishing spots to appear/make them more frequent. I'm unsure as to how this ends up working on public servers as I play on a private one, but most of the time spent fishing is actually spent hunting down the elusive fishing spots. I understand this is part of the mechanic is trying to find those fishing spots for a balance in grinding, but combined with the frustration of not getting any fish, it ends up being far more tedious of a task compared to the rest of the genuinely fun and rewarding grinding of the game.
3. Add another form of misery reduction to prisoners. There are plenty of ways to fill their bellies and their health, but the misery comes as a major issue. While I see this is meant to be for balance, don't abuse your prisoners unless you have the resources to repair them, it would make owning prisoners much less stressful to have something more readily available to reduce their misery. Perhaps a decor could slowly reduce their misery over time (say low end 1% every hour and high end 1% every 10 minutes to still encourage usage of fish for more immediate results), or another item such as a bouquet of flowers (say one of each flower for a full bouquet).

Of course this is just a suggestion from a player. I'm in no way a game developer and have no idea how to properly balance a game. These could be built on or ignored completely. This was something me and my friends have been struggling with, so I thought to speak up in case something could change.

lil bro really talking about fkn fishing content when the replayability and insane repetitiveness in general is the game's nr1 issue.

:sacrificed: naurr this game's going to stay at 4k players listening to these type suggestions :DLskull::DLskull::DLskull::DLskull::DLskull::DLskull:

4k players is HUGE number. You're obsessed with steamcharts. You're not even using data they provide as you should (almost every game experiences a large population burst at first).

The number of players has never been an issue in any game that I play privately with friends. Personally, I haven't had any issues with repetitiveness considering I haven't seen any real repetitiveness in the game. At least none that is noticeable to me. The replayability has also not been something I have seen as an issue considering we haven't even finished the game. I have played a little in my own time on a single player world and I find the replaying to not be an issue.

The most gripes I've seen about the game have been the expensiveness of some of the recipes. Which I agree, some should be tweaked to be less expensive.

The fishing in this game is pretty weak I gotta agree. Get more fish looting chests..

its not only fishing pretty much the majority of loot tables and resource spawn locations are not streamlined. maybe it is justified (not within good reason) for open world pvp and accessability of stuff. drove me away from v rising at least. could not be bothered at one point. will never change tho.

I just send my servants out to the two fishing spots, and have an excess of fish as a result. Playing as a duo though, so can send servants 4x there. Also, if you just go to the docks in the city, knock down every crate and fish every spot you will have more fish than you'll need eventually. Good place for scrolls, fish oil, schematics, leather, planks etc. as well.
