To go above that, you have to manually edit the configuration file for that world's settings as Khaylain already mentioned.
Users\(your Windows username)\AppData\LocalLow\Stunlock Studios\VRising\CloudSaves\(long string of Steam-related numbers)\v4\(an even bigger hexadecimal string that ID's the world in question)
Open the file in your preferred text editor and look for the "Castle Limit" line. Change the number there to what you want, then save the file, close out, and launch your game. When you pull up your Build menu, you should see that your upper limit on building Castle Hearts has increased to the number you set.
I've personally tested it with a value of 20, and it seemed to work alright. Haven't actually built that many yet because I don't get much playtime currently, but so far it looks like it's working.
No idea if there's any other sort of built-in maximum that would interfere, except for the total number of plots you can actually build on of course (currently 146).
