Can we please have more than 5 castle hearts? I am playing solo and would like one in each zone. :) Thank you!

I thought we could edit that.. did they stop us from doing that?

You still can change the .json file with the ServerGameSettings for your save file to have 20 or more castle hearts, I've tested it. I agree that it's silly that the GUI limits it like that.

You can edit it. Check: Load Game> Your Save File > Edit Settings

OP has already done that, that's how they would have already had a limit of 5-- the in-game UI forces a maximum limit of 5 per player.

To go above that, you have to manually edit the configuration file for that world's settings as Khaylain already mentioned.
@Rhapsedy - What you'll specifically want to look for is the "ServerGameSettings.json" file, which for Windows is located in:

Users\(your Windows username)\AppData\LocalLow\Stunlock Studios\VRising\CloudSaves\(long string of Steam-related numbers)\v4\(an even bigger hexadecimal string that ID's the world in question)

Open the file in your preferred text editor and look for the "Castle Limit" line. Change the number there to what you want, then save the file, close out, and launch your game. When you pull up your Build menu, you should see that your upper limit on building Castle Hearts has increased to the number you set.

I've personally tested it with a value of 20, and it seemed to work alright. Haven't actually built that many yet because I don't get much playtime currently, but so far it looks like it's working.

No idea if there's any other sort of built-in maximum that would interfere, except for the total number of plots you can actually build on of course (currently 146).
