Are there any recommended base locations for early, mid, and late game in PVE?
For mid-to-late game crafting, is it generally better to gradually move to a base located more toward the center ?

Otherwise, just going from Zone 2 to Zone 1 takes so much time, and some things can't even go through the teleport gate.

I always go by mines. 1st base right beside copper mine, 2nd at iron (larger spot with pond), then end up in one of the 3 spots by the silver mine. There's an option to change what is allowed to teleport through waygates and you also have the option to castle relocate.

If you're playing on your own world, simply disable that teleport restriction and settle wherever you like.

If on a server with said restriction and want to go home with resources fast, stay in Farbane Woods and use the cave system to get back quickly from most other zones.

Or choose Dunsley Farmland, for that centralized location.

I always move as I progress, but always settle in Silverlight because I like the foliage/aesthetic.

If you want maximum efficiency then Farbane is best if you learn the cave routes, otherwise just settle centrally in Dunley.

I LOVE Silverlight.. I wish they made it a little bigger and added another 5 locations to build..

Last play-through a friend of mine built her castle in the cursed forest it was absolutely amazing I just wish there was like an AOE thing you could put around your castle so the shroud doesn't affect you while in your own base.

i always do first base next to the teleporter you spawn at. then dead center of the map. I play solo brutal

Would be a nice additional utility for the Mist Braziers. Give you a reason to keep them beyond the ~10 minutes it takes to get to real walls for Castle Building with roofs. Would probably have to do more than just repel the Forest's Curse, though, to be worth the change, mechanically. I wonder what other passive things like that might be possible and interesting...

In the early game, with version 1.0, I set up on a two-tiered plateau next to one of the Shady Merchant camps on the left side of Farbane. It was near a proper teleporter and sticking to the upper tier meant the lower tier generated local copper for early upgrades. The spot also generated a lot of traffic, with Tristan and (far more infrequently) Belmont patrolling through, alongside Lydia and the Alpha Wolf. Lastly there was a small pond nearby that could rarely generate some fish to feed prisoners.

Later on you could probably set up a location near the cave exit that returns from the Silver Mines in Silverlight Hills; or just enable 'teleport with resources' for the server and remain wherever you like.
