My suggestion is this: If you have strong feelings on the fact that content updates are incompatible with previous saves, then make sure that's reflected in your review. I don't think the developers pay much attention to what's written on these forums, but they might start paying attention if your reviews reflect your feelings (good or bad) on this subject.

I mean if you really care you can port your castle by getting help from modders on Vrising discord, then change the new server setting to where you left off i.e start with lvl 60 or 90 gear/mats

You're not alone. Everyone who played version 1.0 that care about their progress, time and effort are coming back to find out the news. The game is still in an early access state. This update that just passed is the third major update they promised us since EA.

the majority of players play pve on private servers which don't have wipes

Listen I don't care if they want to sell more games or if the game is pve or pvp.
They do with it what they want, its their product.

You can cope and play the game or complain about it on the forums, you do you champ. I'm on no ones side here I just wanted to bring some common sense to the thread.

aww too bad, pvp game catered to pvp crowd gets what the game is designed for. Maybe play the game.
