Worst Boss Design?
Who would you say is the worst that you've fought?

For me: Ben the Old Wanderer

Why is he worst? its about the Fog theme so the challange is to follow him (without the cloak before u can craft him) in the fog, and meanwhile every second u could add a mob or something in the boss fight

Vincent on brutal.

For me its Gaius the Cursed
It forces you in a certain playstyle because it reduces the arena space thus ranged combat is practically ineffective. I did not like it one bit so I left that boss for 20+ levels then insta killed him when I returned.

It is to simulate a pvp arena but to my knowledge even those are not that limited in space that fast only during sudden death does it decrease.

Precisely why he's the worst imo.

That mechanic was sure annoying but doable at the appropriate level.
Vincent frostbringer (brutal) for sure . Permanent slow aura and freeze you with his every ability for 3 sec . Fighting againts him never feels fair. Im just glad he is patrol boss so you can use surronding for your advantage.

My fight with the gladiator was very beautiful, and even, perhaps, cinematic somewhere. I fought him in close combat, not using skills to attack, just parrying, and even though I killed him on the tenth or more attempt, I just wanted to fight that way. I liked this dance. As for the worst design, as such... There aren't any particularly like that, in my opinion. There are simple bosses, there are complex ones, there are those that make your ass burn like a sparkler, without stopping at all. But I definitely don't remember any disgusting ones. Of the entire pool of bosses, the Cavalryman probably has the closest to this rank. He constantly rushes back and forth, casts lightning bolts that slow down, it's unpleasant to aim at him, even though the trajectory is calculated - he's just very uncomfortable. Maybe I can beat him on horseback, but I'm such a bad horseman that I didn't even try - somehow, over time, I hit him with a bow.
I understand why people don't like Gaius, but my partner and I managed to beat him first try and really enjoyed the experience. We both mained ranged weapons during the fight too.

But the worst boss for me personally is going to be Adam, cause I hadn't been able to beat him yet (pre 1.1, will see in the new run).
Dracula. Brutal.

The first two phases are fine aside from the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ spam the ♥♥♥♥ out of area control crystals, but the third and forth just take what was an okay fight to a "Now let's see if you have top rolls on your jewels and gear"

A dps check and a dps race with a garbage ass random factor for free cast was not the most fun at all. add in the closing arena and it was the most boring final boss fight. That was during 1.0, I haven't made it to him as of 1.1. Doubt that DPS check and Race was revamped.

Going to second the Knight as worst boss. You basically just stand there in the open field, waiting for him to come around for another pass, easily dodging his highly telegraphed lightning strikes and weaving through his lightning orbs, and praying to Luminance that he doesn't go far enough to aggro in the nearby patrolling werewolf to slaughter you both.

I get it, they're trying to push the horseback mechanics more by encouraging you to engage him from your own horse. But.... why?

since i never used horses to begin with (they are eccentric to use) i say that stupid horse boss

I think the only one I hated a little was the styx because sometimes in mp gargoyles spawned all on the same target, ending up leaping one after another ( making the veil not enough not to die ), but in truth I say that the old bosses require some adjustments to be made challenging ( or at least "updated" ) to gloomroot ones ( or endgame ones ).

Dracula kicked my and my friends asses for a lot, but we loved the fight as it was rewarding ( it went down the moment we decided to swap to the +15% dmg to vampires necks, but maybe we just played better... dk ).
Krigg the undead general on brutal is doing my head in right now

the best strategy for the gladiator is just knock him outside the arena he takes % dmg out there just like you....
