Quick thoughts on Oakveil

So finally killed the Serpent Queen so thought I would put my thoughts and issues and see if anyone things similar or not. So I've done every boss other then Adam and Dracula, all solo so far. so far the only thing I don't like is the Corruption blood almost needed to do some of the bosses, as if you don't you take so much more damage. Other then that I loved the fights. Slashers being so late now feel weird, but since they match the boss guess it makes sense.

Corrupted blood cuts damage from corrupted damage sources, but it increases it from all other damage sources. I found it very handy for the Dantos the Forgebringer fight. I will have to give it a shot for Megara cause she is my last stop before Dracula.

Yeah, it worked good against Stavros as well. (The guy in the corrupted logging camp.)
At least it seemed to for me. I would suspect the other Oakveil bosses are similarly affected.

All the perks on the corrupted blood type are give and take though. Reduce damage from corrupted attacks, but increase damage from other attacks. Increase movement and attack speed, but 25% chance of being snared when taking damage. Spell and weapon charge gain increased, but chance of spawning a shadow that attacks you when using an ability.

I don't care if it reduces damage taken. I'm not using corrupted blood just to spite the developer who thought giving bosses 500-600 damage attacks just to justify the blood type.

How dare they introduce new features and mechanics to add challenge to the gameplay!

Such lazy development!

What's worse, they had the gall to release it for free!! Game development is rapidly going downhill, Mark my words!

I thought of using the corrupted blood to fight Megara but I didn't like the drawbacks it also gave. Found 100 corrupt bloodbag for my prison fairly easily but mixing the blood with others when above 90% gives the negative about spawning a shadow that attacks you which I didn't like so I recommend mixing your favorite blood with corrupt blood that is less than 90%.

Another alternative is to fight every boss frail and 10 level below them without getting hit once like this psycho:

I disagree sooo much. Corrupted blood makes the bosses harder and you can avoid the corrupted abilities quite easily.

1. slasher boss I dont even remember what ability was corrupted.
2. the carver.. he had a few but generally easy dodgeable.
3. alchemist one shot can be dashed....
4. the guy with the hammer is super easy just dont stand around the thing that is exploding
5. the serpan queen also only had 2-3 corrupted abiliites.

+ corrupted blood has way too annoying downsides to fight bosses with. iti s better to fight with the high % that you already have.

Honestly the corrupt blood drawbacks are to big. I did the Serpent Queen with mixed blood from I think Brute. Only did 78% corrupt because I didn't want the 90+ side affect.

Yeah totaly agree , corrupted blood gets old really fast . I really dont want flow of fight changing beacuse of bad rng.

+Funny enough bad rng of corrupted blood have synergy with itself. Random shadow clone also triggers root effect from tier 3 effect.
