Wish some bosses were more skill based instead of "have this one skill".
At a certain point you just bump into multiple bosses that require you to use certain defensive skills in order to completely cheese the whole fight and have no issues whatsoever beating it instead of a skill based fight.

A LOT of the game is movement-based. It's less defensive skills and just stack on movement speed and you're usually fine for every PvE fight and most PvP fights. I feel like that needs adjusted but can't really determine how it could be adjusted to make it so movement speed feels more like a bonus rather than the ridiculously overpowered stat it is now.

i do agree every boss coming out now needs you too have as much movement as you can get because if you dont you are going too get hit by that boss no matter what

And it dont help that your physical weapons dont really do much when it comes too fighting bosses 90% of the time. sense they do way less damage than any spell in the game can do and well it dont help most the new bosses coming out wont allow you too get hits in with melee attacks sense they either have a giant AOE or are too fast for you too even get close too hit them.

Also why is every boss now getting Clones that they can summon its so dum because their CLONE system Sucks so bad

Also Movement as a hole for the player is just beyond bad the fact you run like a Snail is crazy even in your own base and out of combat you move so slowly and it dont matter how many buffs you got

you are still going too be mega slow and dont matter what Veil-spell you got that veil will never leave that 7-8 sec cooldown and during a boss fight your veil is like your number 1 most used spell and it dont even work half the time

There is one boss that requires one of somehow limited selection of spells to be done comfortably. Rest can be done with tons of different builds. In my latest playthrough I've killed every boss that can be consider somehow difficult without any defensive spell and without summons (only exception was Queen), Dracula died on first try to Tendrils + Void + Daggers.

I completed whole game melee only solo, even Dracula, stop talking nonsense. Sure its easier to cheese a lot of them with shield, movement speed and range weapons, but you 100% can complete the game in melee if you want.

Edit: the only exception to this rule would be 4th phase on Dracula, it kinda pushes you to use double counter.. Still, I think its possible to beat this phase without counters at all

wierd i find it much easier to be melee in this game than ranged.

Brutal mode, at times, does feel like you need a specific set of skills to deal with encounter, but generally. It's all about kiting. Recognizing openings in boss patterns and knowing how to move is king.

If you are in melee, close to the boss, you can abuse their turn speed. Knowing when they will perform high burst attack/projectile attacks to soak it with shield for insane efficiency is gas. Staying in stealth after using veil dash for them to use following attack towards dummy also helps with mobility economy. In some fights where boss changes phases changing skills mid fight is also huge.

Game is skill based. Gear lowers the difficulty proportionally to the players skill level. You can still get bent with 20 gear levels above a boss if you're a potato.

On normal i beat every single boss with the same two skills + sword except for Dracula, For Dracula i just changed the skills and beat him after three fails with the same skills i used for all other bosses. So, unless you're referring to hardcore, every boss in the game can be beaten with just 2 skills and the sword.

as a side note, i never tried breaking the Crystals until the forth try on Dracula until try 4.

No one's saying anything about melee apart from you and the guy before you that randomly imagined this being a discussion about melee lmao.
