Settings?

So I started off a server quite good, with decent settings to my liking, but now into act 4 I wanna tweak them just slightly, and I know about "load game" > edit settings. But despite changing them and saving, and trying to load the server. they didn't "apply". What to do, or am I just cooked needing a new save? xD

What settings? Some need to 'cycle' like Mortium Rifts. And some like changing your HP values require you to make new gear because that's where you get HP.

I did slight damage changes, loot MP and servant changes!
