Dracula is a Feast of Strategic Combat
Recently got to Dracula and I am using my legendary Blood Reaper, Veil of Chaos, Blood Rage, Frost Nova & Fallen Angel. Still working on him on Normal Difficulty (co-op welcome).
What powers do you guys use?

For Dracula, you NEED one counter spell (Shield or Meditation). Most people reccomend 2 counters. Your choice and mastery of physical weapon rather than spells is far more important when it comes to taking Dracula down. I found that Pistol for Dracula and Greatsword for the crystals works well.

Also, don't forget to buff up. Vampiric Brew is a must-have for it's massive sustain bonus.

Nice - I started using shield now and was using all the buffs including vampiric brew. First phase is fine, I get him there consistently but the 2nd phase is all out and still working on it. I have backup pistols as well... I guess it will just take more time lol.

I feel bad for newplayers unable to fight pre-nerfed dracula, now is a pushover unlike his release form.

Brutal Drac was such a mindwipe i cant even remember what base one does rofl.

Probably good enough to just do frost bat/blood bolt/wolf + frost/unholy shield then gradually smack him down for normal?

No shields/counters.

Actually, I forbidden my friend to use any ( we did the brutal one though, not the normal one )
Same goes for swapping spells/equipment midfight ( but if one wants to lessen the fight to the point it becomes trivial, it's their choice to use counters/shields and/or swap midfight ).

I, personally, used spectal wolf and wraith spear, Veil of illusion and the ultimate my neck gave to me ( don't remember which one ).

tbf if doing Brutal Solo and not using the melee steroid build then one kinda has to use the swapping trick or DPS/AOE just isnt high enough to avoid a super-risky long 4th phase.

Playing duo means you can split the coverage more to clear ghosts in 3rd to avoid the 4th problem.

Yeah, multiplayer versions of fights tend to drastically increase the difficulty of most fights unless everybody's locked in.
Just got him. My goodness what an amazing fight! Whats next before update release? lol. Update is gonna be my Brutal playthrough - a shame I cannot keep the Drac soul shard for it ;)

Congrats^^

Small spoiler for brutal bosses, most of them go to the gym and take classes in whoop ass kung-fu. They´re out to clap poor innocent unsuspecting vampires.

That goes double for Dracula. o_o,

Nah not necessary, Brutal Dracula isn't that hard. It's the same as any other boss; just learn how to dodge their moveset and then you can use anything to kill them. I've never used counters/shields for any of my playthroughs because I'd rather just carry two spells.

All of the "meta builds" or whatever are mostly just ways to avoid having to dodge every attack, or to ignore some attacks. They make the game noticeably easier. But they're not necessary if you just learn how to move out of the red circle.

I´d argue that without a shield (or veil i suppose, didnt use those much) then the 2nd phase is quite dangerous, between the bats and the daggers there´s a ton of poke flying around.

Without learning the specific tricks for trolling the bats or the spots&movements for the daggers..,..yah, rough.
