Servant Questions
Does the type of servant determine their buffs? If so, does anyone have a list of units with their buffs?

Does blood quality matter on servants? If so, how?

Do you get more loot if u select 20 hour farm instead of 2 hour? If so, is it worth the extra wait time?

What are the best servants in the game?

How do you return a servant that is far away from your base to your base quickly and safe?

Do servants gain buffs or stats as they get mission experience?

Thanks

  1. Yes.
    • Worker/Draculin = Humble appearance
    • Scholar = Sacred resistance
    • Brute = Tenacious strength
    • Rogue = Tracking experience
    • Warrior = Military tactics
Also worth noting that they get a location perk that gives 20% more resources based on where they are from (not based on where they are found. Some factions roam in other areas, or are abducted). This means bandits from Farbane get 20% more resources when sent on mission in Farbane, Dunley farmers would get more from missions in Dunley, etc.
  2. Blood purity raises their expertise range. Higher expertise means better stats for defending, or higher hunt ratings when sent on missions.
  3. For missions, you just want a wide variety so you can take advantage of all of their perks.
For PvP, you want units that are difficult to fight, since they retain their AI and attacks. Since I don't PvP, I don't know the best combinations for that.
  4. You can click on a mission that has already been sent to decide to cancel it. The servants return instantly with nothing.
  5. No, servants personally gain nothing from running missions. Just the loot.

Thanks for the information.

Could you give more detail on number 1? What does each buff give you? For example what does tracking give you as a buff?

What about the question I added when edited?

I want a servant that is far away from my base because they have higher level blood. Issue is how do I get him back to my base alive and quickly?
Suzaku May 27, 2024 @ 9:37pm
Each mission has a different buff that, when matched, reduces the difficulty of it by 100. This allows lesser-geared servants to have a better chance of success. This reduced difficulty applies to all servants assigned to that mission.

You'll get more loot from spamming shorter missions, but this increases their chance of failure and injury. Longer missions are ideal when you know you won't be returning for some time. All mission timers continue while offline in all circumstances.

Canceling the mission they are on will automatically and instantly return them to the castle.

If you mean moving a dominated human a large distance, then your best option are Dusk Callers. Unlocked after defeating Leandra, and crafted at the alchemy table, this consumable item will teleport a dominated human to the nearest allied cell (which might be yours, or a closer clan-mate's cell if available).

Or if you mean moving a servant from one castle to another, then that is not possible. The best you can do is use the castle relocation heart to move the castle they belong to to another location.

Thanks for the help. Just to confirm a blood level quality of 60 would be able to do higher level areas then a lower blood level. Is this correct? I am trying to figure out what type of unit, gear, blood quality etc... is needed for the level 800 plus areas. Thanks again
Suzaku May 27, 2024 @ 9:49pm
Higher blood quality helps raise their hunt level a bit, but what's most important is their gear. You need gear roughly at most 1 tier away from what you're hunting. So, for example, if you want to run missions in Dunley (Act 2), then you want them equipped in gear from Dunley, or upgraded Act 1 gear while taking advantage of the blood type matching the mission to make it easier.

Thanks again-Last Question-I have a unit that uses a crossbow-Should I give him a crossbow or is any weapon fine?
Suzaku May 27, 2024 @ 10:12pm
Any weapon is fine. They only use them for the gear score.

None of the bonuses, for either weapons or armor, are applied to servants.

Note: Make sure you equip your servants with RINGS, too. I had a guy kitted out in stuff as good as what *I* was wearing, went to send him on a hunt in the area he receives bonuses for...0% chance of success. His ring slot was the only thing not filled. I made him one at the same gear level....instant 100% success chance.

For areas that allow 2 servants, its worth noting that the bonus for loot/rating reduction can only apply once. Sending 2 servants to the same village, 1 with Humble and 1 with Dunley, is an option. Always better to have a range of servants if possible.

Anybody have any tips on finding servants with the Farbane Hunter perk? I've only been able to find ones with the Dunley Farmlands Hunter perk so far and it's getting frustrating lol.

Have you tried going to Farbane? - the large forested area to the south, where you start? ... aside from militia (Dunley units) occasionally patrolling the west/east road at the northern edge of that territory, the entirety of Farbane Woods is appropriately filled with Farbane units.

hijacking this to ask if the occasional bandit or worker in the spider nests when you break them count as cursed woods servants
holdem May 29, 2024 @ 5:35am
Dunley farmlands and silverlight hills have the most mobs so logically most chance to find them there.
I found 5 100% in these zones.
I can't find a scholar tho.

Spider nest; no. I think they're all either Dunley or Silverlight workers (similar to how you can find captured Dunley workers throughout Farbane). Only Cursed Wood people are those werewolves at the ruined settlement to the north-east of Dunley (along with the few wandering the roads of Dunley) - would suggest against attempting domination at night, tho.
