relocate castle?
I probably should have done this sooner, but I've just completed Act 1 and I think I need to move my base. It's way down south and really far away from everything.

Can someone tell me how exactly it works? Do I need to completely clear out the new area to move my castle or does it clear stuff out automatically? Any tricks and tips on moving my castle to a new area would be awesome. Thanks!

You place the relocation-heart, then you can choose the castle to relocate.

Your stuff will be put in a chest (travelbags) since it can´t rebuild your castle if the place has a different size. Just open the building-menu and you can place the stuff "for free".

You could also build a 2nd castle if available, which means more ports obviously.

Ok but I still need to know 2 things:

1) Will it put down the whole castle complete if there is enough room?

and

2) Do I need to completely clear the area of resources to make enough room?

You basically re-build your castle as you want it for "Free". "Free" being:
If you got 10 Walls in your old base your relocate area will have 10 Walls to place for "Free".
Any crafting station / storage you have can also be placed for "Free" since you already have that in your old base.

But it wont place anything down FOR you. You do all the placing.

Yes you need to clear out the area.

Yeah the interface can be a little confusing. I moved my castle yesterday and it took FOREVER. Mostly because I didn’t know what I was doing lol. 😂

It's important to know that when you put down the new location heart it will tell you that you need more blood. You don't need more blood, you need to select the castle you want to move from on the little map. It looks like a static map, but you need to select the source castle from there.

Also, the move is kind of buggy. I had three sawmills to move and could only place 2 before it said I had placed all of them but it wouldn't complete the castle, saying I was one short. I erased the two saw mills and then it let me replace all three and the castle moved.

And while it says that any unplaced things will be disassembled and placed in the traveler bag, some (if not all) of the production and workbench stuff has to be placed to complete the move.

If you run into problems, after verifying that you've placed everything down, you can disassemble and then assemble each station until you find the one that's bugging your move,
