It would be a great quality of life option, hope they'll consider it
A lot of old school features were there due to technical restrictions that are no longer a thing or development difficulties that are much easier these days.
I am all for putting good and even unique rewards behind tasks that require endurance on the part of the player, but not basic and mundane things like crafting is in this game.
Having to run around from container to container clicky-click-clicking is not a satisfying activity.
Not only that, being able to craft from storage doesn't even have to preclude the 'skill' of learning how best to store and arrange your workshops. It doesn't have to shortcut crafting progression either.
I would be all for doing initially doing it completely manually, but, like everything else, gradually becoming streamlined by allowing crafting from storage, once you have containers of the correct types, have placed on the correct type of flooring and within a certain range of the appropriate workbench.
Sometimes "these threads" get made because it's obvious and noteworthy feedback.
Not all QoL features are the ruination of games. Crafting from storage needn't be an all or nothing laziness thing.
It could be something that is gradually unlocked and is a satisfying part of the progression systems just like all the other features in games like this.
Also - laziness: maybe you prefer to craft all stuff by yourself manually by holding a button?
Come on, Stunloc, add this feature, get Peon's "near perfect" rating, and make a LOT of players happy all at once. Including this one.
I would be happy with that compromise if it was done the way that Enshrouded does it. In that game, you can craft blue storage boxes and only those are searched during crafting. That way we get what we want, and the devs don't have to search through EVERY contrainer for crafting materials.
Damn the goal of the game is to reign over humans to take back our territory to have SLAVES sorry I meant UNPAID SERVANT
it's completely stupid to have servants walking around our castle without doing anything
but hey we know very well why this feature was not added, because of the screaming minority of pvp players
1. If auto-grab for crafting is enabled, chests can be hidden X layers deep behind walls since they never need to be 'visited' when crafting, except for when being filled up. This is compared to chests with goodies being near crafting stations, and vulnerable.
2. If auto-grab for crafting is enabled organizing chests makes no real difference, whereas if not implemented, a PvPer looting chests can more easily find the stuff worth grabbing and what is not. 'Mixed' loot chests versus very rich/poor concentrated loot.
I am in favor of the feature being implemented but disabled by default.
I remember when the arguments in favor of PvP were based around the skill employed in battling others, in having to learn all classes in order to understand how to beat a certain class, on the skill in managing combat cycles and cooldowns, etc.
What you're describing isn't PvP as I know it, it's griefing.
