Steamworks Initialisation Failed
Sucks to get excited for this game then find that Proton doesn't work. Is Linux/Steamdeck not supported?

Not currently but it has been reported on the Proton GitHub https://github.com/ValveSoftware/Proton/issues/5845

Getting "steamworks initialisation failed" as well, but as a Windows user.

I experienced the same issue. I found many tutorial about reinstalling the game, steam or whatever, but everything went bad. I managed to fix this issue by launching the game through the desktop shortcut (steam://rungameid/1604030). Everytime I launched the game from the vrising.exe, I was facing the "steamworks initialisation failed" message. Hope it might help you.

i pressed launched through friends list and it worked, devs need to respond to these posts tbh
