Growing seeds

This is what i have. I have tree seeds, i have cotton yarn... But i just don't get to interact with the plot.

How does this work?

Put seed to be planted in one of your 1-8 command boxes. Close your backpack. Click on the number you placed the seed in. A glowing version of the plant you are planting will appear. Hover it over the place you want to put the seed and left click. Note, if the "plant" has a red glow around it, you are NOT in a place that will accept the seed. That plot you have is for trees, so if you want to plant a flower, it won't work.

An aside, cotton yarn has nothing to do with the plant other than it was made with cotton. To plant cotton, you need cotton seed which you can buy from some of the merchants or can sometimes pick up when you are harvesting cotton from plants.

Final note on planting, shrooms do not have seeds. They have spores.
