Tier 3 spell jewels

I see a place for a jewel with tier 3 spells but cannot make them. Also, when you go to the tree, there doesn't seem to be a jewel slot, only when you open the spell. Any ideas?

I guess you have to unlock it first by defeating the V Blood. Not sure if I understood your problem correctly.

V blood has to be beaten to make them. If you can't slot the Jewel in you haven't learned the spell yet. You can probably learn the spell if you reset the magic school provided you have the spell points to put in for it. Otherwise hold onto the spell jewel until you unlock it.

you make the ability jewels, they are drops that augment your abilities, when you do have them you can equip them straight from the inventory, the highest tier ones are rare drops from rift incursions
