Horse armor and saddles?

Horses are pretty neat in this game, if simplistic. They should remain that way. But what about horse armor or saddles? A saddle can give a percent chance that you won't be knocked off if hit, and tiers can upgrade that chance. Armor, of course, preserves our precious steeds so that we don't have to wait for respawns on large servers where everyone wants horses. It also would look dope af.

Of course, let's just park our friendly equines far away from battle, then they can't be killed. But then they can be easily stolen, are hard to use for a getaway, and are annoying to walk back to. Especially with boss fights. Fighting the toad dude on horse is fairly easy, but if you get knocked off... well that horse is dead now.

I think armor provides both an aesthetic and functional piece of gameplay for us (and let's be real, who doesn't like decking out their stuff). Saddles are also in line with this, and provide an even more useful piece of gameplay for players.

I'd be interested in seeing horse breeding as well, just for the high stats, but that's more controversial than what I suggest above. A stable structure would be cool, where you feed horses, maybe adding buffs given what's in their feed? Fireblossom = speed, mourning lily = acceleration, etc.

Is it? I haven't been paying attention at all to newsletters or dev updates. If so, neat! Although I don't like the idea of an Early Access game having DLC right off for things that give players performance enhancements.

I haven't had any issues with decay, 3 stacks of water bags gives them like 3 days, right? How about if a fountain makes horse decay completely stop, because why wouldn't they drink from it?

I feel like a nice green area fits the idea of a stable just fine, it's more that the horses seem to not fit the general "vampire overlord" vibe rn and they could definitely use some fleshing out

Yeah this would be a neat idea, a fountain with a small range to park your horses in which keeps them hydrated, and prevents decay of waterskins.
