I feel like the game needs more gradual progression
At this point i have tried a failed for the last few days to make it past i level 31 i cant manage to get unsullied hearts for ♥♥♥♥ and cant get drops for merciless gear, i like this game but the hard wall the makes progress next to impossible is kinda unreasonable.

Unless im missing something in which case im open to what that is because playing this game is miserable right now.

Grayson the armorer has 100% drop of merciless armor books, Clive the firestarter has 100% drop on merciless weapons.

Unsullied hearts shouldnt be difficult, i've had an abundance of them since the drop rate increase, clive and grayson should drop unsullied heart every now and then aswell.

You can go back and kill weaker V Blood bosses for unsullied hearts. Think Alpha Wolf, etc.

Have to agree. made it to lvl42 and getting more frustrated since it took me about 20 attempts to finally kill the Pyromancer to get to the Bandit King. No iron processing means no progression. i tried the Bandit King and the Feywalker... simply frustrating. the lower their hp, the stronger their skills become. what to do vs homing missiles combined with being feared away when in melee range and teleport, it's just running and drinking until i run oo potions. NOT FUN. i cannot imagine how to do this in a PvP setting
Have started to built gardens and a rather furnitured castle to calm down after these battles ;)
@op: not sure but i think you'll find the books for the merciless stuff in the copper mine and other bandit camps

That's some very useful information. Are there bosses like this for T2 and T3 too?

There is definitely an argument for making the progression a little less frustrating. Some of the boss fights are way too difficult; then you might have long run back to the boss (who's health is all the way back up to 100%) with a low (frailed) blood level and no potions (because they are all with your gear drop when you died). I get feeling that the boss fight would be more balanced if I had some of the gear that is only available once I actually kill that boss.

I appreciate the information but this hasn't been my experience, maybe im just extremely unlucky

I mean, youre really only talking about 4 bosses here. Quincy, Tailor Beatrice, Octavian and Spider.
Of these, i think only Octavian is really a proper hard boss fight, but hes doable with abit of luck.

Those bosses can easily be done quite underleveled. Just grab some ok-ish v-blood and learn their telegraphed moves. Chose offensive / defensive skills based on enemy movesets and your own skill level. Easy progress. Those bosses are among the easier ones in the game, friend ;)

Yeah there are a few rough patches in progression where you need to painfully grindout special items in order to enough gear score to be able to fight the boss the gives the next receipe

Fishing early game: Get fish you do not need, yet.

I'm pretty tired of farming schematics for the bloodmoon gear, honestly

THX for destroying my illusion eventually. if the Bandit King and the Feywalker are the easier bosses, i'll better become a gardener, cheers ;)

There will probably be things you are missing that aid a lot, blood quality for one, get high lev blood for higher stats but also the different classes you drink from will give a whole different set of stats too, workers boost gather rates, nuns boost magic powers etc. Choosing the right blood for the boss battles is a great help and will help swing those close battles your way. We do not need the game to be made easy, we need people to get smarter !!!
