Dracula & game lacks reasons to continue
I'm level 90. I've got max upgraded passives. I can't get the Dracula's shirt to complete my set because apparently Dracula himself drops it?

Dracula is freaking HARD. Solo play. I'm on Normal mode with some increased resource drops because I hate grinding too much.

Beat all other bosses. 100% rouge's blood (and other bloods) with every combination of spells the "Guides" offer. I can't do enough damage and his phase with the blood sucking crystals and falling swords - he kills me every time. I even switched armor and used ranged weapons after close range seemed to not work well. I can't play games like I used to due to disability, but I'm not terrible.

There's nothing to keep me playing. I don't care about building more crap. I've beaten all bosses but one. I don't want to build more storage for all the crap my minions collect. There's no end game loop once you have everything. I have zero problem with games having an end, but there's no reason to re-play either.

This may just be an unfinished game for me. Otherwise it was fun game once it was fully released. I wish there was more of a reason to continue, even trying to beat Dracula.

Dracula is very distinctly the final challenge of the game. I kinda like how you can't just brute force stats through him like a lot of other bosses. You've gotta really train on his move set to win. I think it's a good thing about the game, it's fine with you ending on whatever terms you want. If you're not in pvp and you don't care about that last point of gear level, then that's fine, you can accomplish basically anything else you could want to without it. I think that's good for this type of game

if you want replayability then you play the pvp side of the game.

Keep trying, even if you fail. You'll learn his moves and after a good nights sleep I bet you'll beat him.

People like you need to learn what disability means. This is the kind of comment a child makes.

Oh, I like the challenge. I don't think some of the bosses are just brute force either. They all have move sets you want to avoid.
I just don't like being bombarded without enough ways to avoid. Usually what happens is I get too far away from him and he teleports to me and I get hit by him (A big hit) and a couple of swords. The 2 seconds for each shield spell and any dashing doesn't work after I've used them. Staying close to him doesn't work either. (I've watched all the videos on different ways to beat him so I understand his moves, It's just too much for me. I may play the game again on the harder difficulty level and just end in the same place. I've seen how that fight goes too.)
After about 3 tries my hands hurt too much to continue. After a couple weeks of small sessions, It's just tiring and not fun for me.

I hate pvp. I'd rather go back to Diablo 3. :portiapoop:

I'll probably try again some day. Maybe when my pain levels are lower. <3

It's just not worth it.. I LOVE LOVE LOVE V-Rising.. I have 713 hours in this game I have played ever since EA launch and I have beaten every boss on normal and brutal WITH the exception of Dracula and I don't care to.. I gave him 4.5 hours of my time and I just do not need the headache it's not fun... I refuse to conform to everyone's build.. I refuse to play in a way that I do not want to play and it's fine. I understand that people will tell me to get gud or that I suck and that's fine too. Game is still a 10/10 but if I wanted to play a DarkSouls or Elden Ring like boss then I'd go play those games.. I do not find playing the same thing over and over and over again fun at all.. so.. bro don't even sweat it.

As far as longevity there is none.. in PVE the second you beat all the bosses it's over until they add more content.

THANK YOU! I'm glad I'm not alone. I got into Demon Souls and Dark souls 1 but it got soo depressing (game atmosphere mostly). Anytime I see souls-like, I pass.
Dracula feels more like a rouge-like or metrovania type boss in 3D. I love me a good 3D rouge-like, but Dracula is beyond difficult for me. I feel like the balance jumped from decent to unfair in one boss. I've had the game since EA too. I agree, it's great. I wouldn't mind just running around with permanent rifts opening as I find the combat fun. (I also really like the Diablo 3 gameplay loop, and this feels a bit like that. Fight a boss, fight in rifts with bosses for shards, etc.) When I'm in the mood, building and farming mats is also fun. Plus, vampires. Even excellent games have flaws for some people.

I guess the annoying thing I had to change in my playstyle against him was holding the dash iframes for really specific things, like crossing the rings of pain, and his grab at the end of the bat nightmare. I was really surprised when I focused, how every other one of his attacks can just be walked out of. The telegraphs and timings are more clear and consistent than they seem. I also noticed benefits from making sure to get a basic attack in after every dash I could, the 5% heal really adds up over a long fight. Additionally, I found the pillars very handy to play around during the first phase. I think build probably matters less than responding coherently to each thing that he does in the fight.

I believe in you! You can beat Dracula!

🤣 I can smell the smoke

Same for me. It is fun for a time. Build a castle, deck out servants. I did not slide options around and the farming is insane to me. Gives me World of warcraft nostalgia from 20 years ago. The game is just too shallow for single player and 2nd playthrough would just be tedious farming and beating bosses i already know. I doubt i would even farm my way to Dracula on first play, i just unlocked dark silver ingots with a heavy sigh

Not sure what smelling the smoke means.

The first 9 months of release WOW was awesome, but yes, gather all the materials please! Every flower and every node. My friends and I played on a private server later that had drop rates raised. The name had something to do with Ash from Evil Dead. Awesome server with good people. Those were the days.

I played a bit in EA and I didn't want that much grind. Upping the yield is the way to go in these games if you don't have time to grind (or can't play that long for other reasons). Oh, and turning off the teleporter restrictions. In Valheim that is a must for me. Those run times, oh boy. :espresso:

Yeah phase two of Dracula is absolute nonsense. The crystals are way too bulky. Its too much avoid x y z attack while destroying crystals. If you aren't using good weapon swap combos to deal the most amount of damage to the crystals the fight is ridiculous. By the time I kill a crystal he has already made another. Outside of pvp there is nothing worth fighting him for. The last gear piece is useless at that point. They should have placed the last piece of gear before fighting him from a pve perspective. I do enjoy the pvp but outside of V Arena server the others are too dead or Ran by sweats who have played 500 hrs.
