How long to beat?

The HowLongToBeat site says over 80 hours for a completionist, yet a recent review says playing solo they beat the game in under 15 hours and expects only 1 more hour for a completionist.

Is the game really short playing solo and really long when you have multiplayer competition?

Your very first time, blind, will probably take 80 if you're in no rush.
Subsequent playthrough will be significantly faster because now you know what to do & where to go.

It's meant to take time because you can play the game on a dedicated server, so things get done while you sleep. If you play on your own server, you have full access to options that greatly reduce the grind.

when making a world you can change modifiers increasing your damage and resource drops and no teleport restrictions will drastically reduce the time to play, this game is made to be played in an mmo rust setting with other payers not solo but the game is still fun

Took me over 100 hours on brutal, and I could've sunk more time on the castle. It's a lot of boss fights.

and don't use the full refund building feature to make 15 temp benches.... just scrubs man
