Why are DLC so expensive?
I wanted to buy dlcs so I can play with my GF but damn, what are the prices? Several cosmetics in game, some game assets and 10-30euro price tag. Is there any trick to the DLCs?

Because they are just luxury items, not gameplay.

And probably also just to make you angry.

These are cheap compared to some games I've seen.

Not sure how this statement make it less expensive

The Founder's Pack: Eldest Bloodline includes the game soundtrack and was designed to help support the developers while the game was being developed. It just recently came out of early access. Half the game is designing and decorating your castle, so the other DLC's are cosmetic map models and variants to add to the castle design. They also include items such as cosmetic armor types and variant shapeshifting forms.

It doesn't. It puts things into perspective.

You can buy several new skins, new outfits, masks, lights, carpets, doors, floors, windows, fountains, statues, wallpapers, coffins, hairstyles, music tracks, and more.

Or you could spend twice as much for a recolor of a skin on a gun or something in other games.

That's understandable, but the prices are not. If someone is into building aesthetics, why they would buy this game for that purpose when the DLCs cost more than twice the whole game.

The game is entirely playable without the cosmetic DLCs. You don't them "need" to play or to thoroughly enjoy the game. If you want to support the Devs then its cool to buy them. If not, no big deal.

Well if you would read the above statement. I want building aestetics. so yes the game in this sense is unplayable

Pay up then if you consider optional cosmetics a requirement.

I have Legacy of Castlevania Premium Pack and Dracula's Relics Pack. I also have Haunted Nights Castle Pack and it is free. The rest I don't care about as it's not my style of design and I don't feel left out not having them. The Castlevania Premium Pack is up in price because it incorporates another games franchise elements. Some expenses had to be balanced, so both studios got paid.

They are entirely optional, as the core building 'cosmetic assets' are already good. If you want the 'extras' and/or wish to show support for the devs, grab em'. Simples :).

Personally speaking, they're cheap. I've seen what other company's charge for a skin in other games A. Skin. Outfit change. No new voice lines, weapon skins, poses, just outfit.

Most of the stuff is castle building stuff, which I like, and the cloaks got more value with the layered armor system.

I do feel in similar way, I treat building seriously and I find it's best to have as many options as possible. However I also recommend getting just base game and building with what you have without DLC if you find them too pricy (which they are for sure, way too expensive honestly). The game itself is fantastic, I am currently playing solo brutal and in the future I plan on joining server with enhanced brutal setting.

Only in your mind, good sir. You've put up barriers and limits that only exist because you want those walls and boundaries to exist. Free yourself and enjoy the game for what it is, not what you need it to be.
