What's the best way to search for hidden hats/capes?
So, aside from the hats you can buy at various markets (and a few high-end capes you can supposedly buy from a treasure-hunter, though I haven't gotten there yet) - what's really the best way to search for the various cosmetic bits of clothing - the capes and hats? I know you can find them in chests, particularly gold chests, and also from fishing, but... what's the better strategy?

In particular, there's a lot of cool bits and bobs attached to some of the earlier territories that I have otherwise largely 'moved on' from, I'm not gonna get those unless I actually put in the effort to hunt them down. Like, I'm done with Farbane Woods and Dunley Farmlands, I don't have any business there anymore, but there's some really awesome capes there I'd love to collect!

You pretty much the have an idea. Golden chests will most likely be the best way to get t2 and t1 cloaks. Hats from merchants and looting cabinets, chest, and fishing. One boss drops a hat and he's in farbane. Thats it. Its a matter if having a route down, and doing a loop until a golden chest spawns, looting it and being disappointed.

T2 has the most cloaks I believe and plenty of spots to check. South gloomrot, ruins of Mortium, dunley farmlands and cursed forest. T1 really can only be found in Farbane golden chest.

T3 can be bought. No point in chest farming, but hats can still be found in those chest.

Don't bother with carriages they are rare to find but if your route happens to cross them then loot them but hunting them down is a bit of waste.
