I'm using an undead mob army build right now and attacking him with semi-range using the crossbow.
He's pretty easy with a minion summoning, ranged spell build. He's a bit tougher for melee if you don't have mobility skills.
In my case I chose to get rid of Corrupted Skull, the minions hit him in shield phase and add more electric orbs during the fight.
I took Frost Barrier which adds a good survival in the fight and allows you to defend yourself from all attacks except of course the grab
For the weapon I rushed at him after looting my the whip and first legendary
If he does give you a warning beforehand, I don't catch it due to all the other things going on all at once. Lightning balls, incoming lightning impacts and environmental grid lasers while he's coming after you.
I took a break to try to fight Dracula for the first time and I lasted longer on phase 1 with Dracula than I did with Adam. I heard complaints about Dracula beyond phase 1, but so far I think Dracula may be easier. I could be wrong. I'm playing solo brutal.
When its Adam the best way to fight him is to stay close and side step the two slashes and block, counter, or dash the last combo. If you dash dont attack right away, let him attack your clone or dash early and same thing.
Trying to quit smoking cigarettes and this guy just makes you want to light up, break sh*t, punch sh*t or lift weights. I need to watch the full video this time and just watch Adam. When you're playing and he has it kicked in full gear, there's no time to pay attention to him when he does those two moves I'm talking about. I'll get him. Just frustrating.

This video is just so I can study him without having the browser open.
Good job by the way. =)
