Paid DLC on an early access title?
Uhhhhh what the hell? I was thinking of finally buying the game, but it's been in early access for nearly two years and instead of working on the main product, they already have paid dlc worth more than the base, self-admittedly unfinished game?

frankly i don't mind the dlc in early,

tho it is a problem here...

- because nowhere it state that it is to support the dev, so we can assume it may have been a cut off content we don't know, in case of doubt, always assume the worste, especially if the devs don't comumnicate.

- the price is preposterous to say the least. 30-35 extra bucks for reskin and extra decoration ... i hardly find any argument ot justify that price. i wouldn't mind 10-20 max but they clearly go greedy there.

the only thing that we can say for it, is that it is entirely cosmetic, so in other words, unecessary.

All of the dlc is cosmetic. I don't own any of it.

It's themed cosmetic dlc for castlevania. It's not ark where they put out paid op content.

I know when you see early access, and you're like "Wow, they haven't even finished the game, and are making DLC." It seems insane or greedy, but as someone who bought the game when it first released, it was a finished product. They could have just sold it as it was, and no one would have complained. 7/10 IGN, 9/10 Steam, 81% OpenCritic. Those were its day 1 reviews. Personally, I don't get why IGN gave it a 7 it was at minimum an 8. The DLC is to support the developers as they continue to develop it to their vision. All the updates have been free to anyone who bought the base game. View them as optional support to the developers. Personally, I buy them every time.

Other thing I forgot to mention. I got this game for $20 when it released.

I suspect they will nickle and dime us to death.

Haha, just like everything else.

forget about the dlc. like its stated previously they're all cosmetic but even if they weren't you should still buy this game because the base game is still really good and it will be worth your money.

Yes, and we never landed on the moon and the earth is flat.

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, who are these idiots with their stupid takes? :steamfacepalm:

Who gives a ♥♥♥♥ if they have cosmetic DLC's as long as the game is good. It's not like they are holding a gun to your head and telling you to "BUY THIS ♥♥♥♥"!?

Welcome to modern gaming. Where DLCs are rampart and early access means whatever you want it to.

"This pack has been created for those who want to show off some extra love for V Rising and kindly wish to support the game further. The Founder’s Pack: Eldest Bloodline rewards your support by unlocking exclusive items that will make you stand out on your vampire journey."

I think they have been VERY clear why this exists.

Developers can sell their labor in any which way they want. Gamers can choose to buy or not to buy. Simple.

However, gamers have become ridiculously entitled. Anything a Dev does is somehow owed to the gamers. Cosmetic DLC can be EASILY created by a 3rd party and sold for shared profit. It takes absolutely ZERO away from the game developers time. Secret World by Funcom was known for doing this. iirc, one of the Costume Devs in Marvel Heroes Omega would create costumes in her FREE TIME and try to get them in the game.

But you guys don't actually care about the details. It's because YOU are greedy and want everything you see, but don't want to spend any money that you don't have to.

that is hell of an entitled assumption, but that's how opinion work i suppose.
irony is your forte i guess.

that is true, tho if we compare V rising dev with GSG, at least GSG communicate on their work and support they get from their player base, but also it's an acceptable price, i don't remember them pricing a support pack beyond 15 bucks, despise having multiple support pack, they've been mostly requested by the player base, precisely because they made themselves likeableby being trustworthy, trust , and , being in touch with your playerbase will get you so far.

then again it's two different game made by 2 studio with a different mindset
at best v rising make a non detailed statement regarding their DLC and support reason on their bundle page and that's it, so in other words, peanuts worth of trackable information on the support they claim for backing up their practise. that's their own right to do so, but so his a customer right to assume it's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ when you're not transparent enough with your claims
