Its for moving around amongst humans undetected (except holy ones) and shop.

It's not, tho. As others have said, it lets you move around mostly undetected. There's also certain merchants that won't talk to you if you're not in human form.

I mean they sold almost 4M copies and you have 418 people who voted. Not really a lot..

If you were free from issues with the sun in human forms then it would be way too OP and you could always just walk around like that.

It's fine the way it is.. It's used to just talk to the traders really or avoid mobs during the night to get to a boss.. it's not meant to just let you wander around or stand in the sun the whole day lol.
