Start now or wait until 1.0?

Just started playing a solo world and I'm about 2 hours in. I'm wondering what exactly will change in 1.0? Will I be able to continue my world or do I have to create a new one? Even if I can continue, would it be better to just wait for 1.0 because of how much changes?

I wouldn't mind restarting my world with the knowledge I now have from playing. I think my plan is more to play singleplayer until 1.0 and then be playing on servers after if not before the release.

just because your save'll be wiped in 1.0 doesn't mean you can't enjoy the game as is. yeah you'll have to start over, but it'll be a new experience at least

Yeah I just bought the game too. Going to hold off to May update. I hate getting wiped.
