How to play with a friend together?

I know how to invite him, how to create a clan, but... How do I make game progress shared? Why is it that if I do a quest, he needs to do it too, is there any way to fix it?

The "quests" ar enot shared, never were. You gotta do them seperate, so the way me and my wife did it was we didnt claim the reward until we both had it done. Its abit tedious, but its not exactly hard. And at one point you have no more quests.

Just make sure both of you get the V Blood kills and blood.

Note that the vast majority of quests that would normally be annoying or expensive for multiple people to do separately specifically have a loophole that makes "sharing" progress easier: the quests for building things or upgrading castle hearts only require you to INTERACT with said building or level of castle heart. So if you're in the same clan progressing together is fairly trivial.
