Crash to Desktop

[Semzilla]

The game has been rock solid, running for days on end with no issues. About 30 minutes ago, it crashed to desktop randomly whilst playing, and now when I try to log back in, it crashes to desktop every time. Any ideas?

**Update** I am able to start a fresh character and play without issue, but whenever I try to load my character on the official PVE servers, it loads the game and then immediately crashes to desktop after my character loads into the world. This feels like a bugged area or item to me.

**Update 2** I renamed the folder VRising at the following location %appdata%\..\LocalLow\Stunlock Studios\ , this caused the game to rebuild all local settings at boot. The issue is still the same. I don't think I can fix this from my side.

**Fix** I fixed this by uninstalling the game in steam, deleting the %appdata%\..\LocalLow\Stunlock Studios\ folder completely and then re-downloading/installing the game from Steam again. What a funky problem.

Same here, i try to load in to a multiplayer game but it crashes somewhere after "loading" 6

Mine actually completes loading, I see the world and my (now dead from sunlight) character, then crash to desktop after about 1-2 seconds. Only happens with this character.

I had just updated and was fine loading in, but walked to a T1 incursion and crash upon loading the area. Can't even move from the area it just crashes instantly.

That sounds like a very similar problem. I was coming out of the forest and into the zone below though. So no incursions for me.

I still cannot even the load the game. According to GeForce Now the game is still patching.

I have the same. Now this ♥♥♥♥ crashes after connecting to a pve server, where I played for several days and reached level 91! Now I was probably killed by monsters and I lost a hat worth 600 gold and all my loot! The developers are idiots!

I do know that Gportal servers are having problems today so not sure if related.

Just randomly started to have the problem too, EU-C Official PvE server, while I was collecting fibres...

FIX (for me): Verify files: Steam > Right-click on V Rising > Properties > Installed files > Verify integrity of game files

I had 2 files fail, but after running this I was able to login
