yeah whoever had that idea didnt think it trough. he can waste entire bloodmoons wandering the forest since his patrol path covery the entire central forest area.

he spends too much time outside his lair now. and his fight was clearly never designed for outside the lair to begin with especially given his size and the lurkers in the forest. random minions adding to the fight makes it annoying to fight and the narrow paths make dodgeing some of his moves very hard.

Did you feel like a blood moon was absolutely necessary for your attempt? I'm level 60 and still killing bosses without min/maxing 100% blood types or doubling them with blood moons. Or potions. The only boss I've had a hard time with was Leandra solo, couldn't consistently avoid her attacks while keeping up damage.

then your bad beat him easily just by kiting him and hitting him with spells lol

The trick with Leandra is to attack the summons instead of dodging them. They die in 1-2 hits so a quick slash is all you need

I went to visit him in his graveyard only for him to be out for lunch

You can always build a base close by, outfit some nuns, clerics, and lightweavers, and lure him in and watch the hard work get done cheap and fast.

Wasn't he nerfed with the release too? Felt like it…

Ive had him wandering around for 3 days and nights in a row. Ive fought him 3 times in the forest and got close a couple times but when he summons the spirit and there are 2 big boys with little room, it snowballs into a huge mess. Last one was the best til a Lurker came into the scene and finished me.. stupid dash move and stab, didnt even see it with all the effects going on.

He is actually way more easier than before because you can use the environment to your advantage. The thing that is not working well is that I had killed him almost 3 times but he resets. A few wandering bosses have this bug as it seems to be a check you cant pull them somewhere and exploit them somehow.

Personally..I thought he's easier in the wilds, cause you get to use terrain to your advantage (his charge spam is what I struggled with), I literally waited for him to leave his nest xD.

The bosses that make me miserable personally are the ones that have a forced open area arena lol.

As he currently is hes nothing but a bad joke if you catch him in the forest instead of the cave hes target practice as he repeatedly gets stuck on rocks and trees... for context in the gloomrot update it took me several(6+) tries to kill him in hes cave(so i'm clearly not even that great of a player) but now i nailed him in the forest on my first try barely loosing close to 100HP(got bit by hes wolf summon once and wandered into a floating wisp of his) but i wasn't even grazed by gorecrusher himself.

PS: i tracked him in bat form and dropped in front of hes path when i was told hes close(nailed a bear and 2 lurkers before he arrived) and owned him like a pair of old shoes he was about as hard of an encounter for me as Erol the stonebreaker(the only other boss in the entire game i defeated without even getting hit)

I suspect the people thinking he's easy are playing on normal, and fighting at similar gear levels. Try him on brutal, or even normal when undergeared (say gear level 75). If you can kill his ghost form (or nearly kill it) with an ultimate, then sure he's super easy. If you have to fight both him and his ghost for any length of time I find it hard to avoid both of their charges consistently. It's doable and fun, but I wouldn't call it easy.

I think it's easier to do out in the forest since you can block his charges by breaking line of sight behind a rock or tree, but I also felt like he leashes too easily. I've fought him down to a sliver of health and had him reset, which is pretty frustrating. And it's not like I was kiting him all over. It was all in a pretty condensed area; smaller than his cave for sure.

It must be extreme skill issue if you struggle against gorecrusher out in the forest. At that point youre severely overleveled for the forest mobs so you can kill them in 1 second. Avoiding damage from gorechrusher while dealing with mobs is also very easy.

If you only use 1 weapon and use ♥♥♥♥ combination of spells then what do you expect lol.

you know every wandering boss is weakness is a giant rock.
