he spends too much time outside his lair now. and his fight was clearly never designed for outside the lair to begin with especially given his size and the lurkers in the forest. random minions adding to the fight makes it annoying to fight and the narrow paths make dodgeing some of his moves very hard.
then your bad beat him easily just by kiting him and hitting him with spells lol
The bosses that make me miserable personally are the ones that have a forced open area arena lol.
As he currently is hes nothing but a bad joke if you catch him in the forest instead of the cave hes target practice as he repeatedly gets stuck on rocks and trees... for context in the gloomrot update it took me several(6+) tries to kill him in hes cave(so i'm clearly not even that great of a player) but now i nailed him in the forest on my first try barely loosing close to 100HP(got bit by hes wolf summon once and wandered into a floating wisp of his) but i wasn't even grazed by gorecrusher himself.
PS: i tracked him in bat form and dropped in front of hes path when i was told hes close(nailed a bear and 2 lurkers before he arrived) and owned him like a pair of old shoes he was about as hard of an encounter for me as Erol the stonebreaker(the only other boss in the entire game i defeated without even getting hit)
I think it's easier to do out in the forest since you can block his charges by breaking line of sight behind a rock or tree, but I also felt like he leashes too easily. I've fought him down to a sliver of health and had him reset, which is pretty frustrating. And it's not like I was kiting him all over. It was all in a pretty condensed area; smaller than his cave for sure.
If you only use 1 weapon and use ♥♥♥♥ combination of spells then what do you expect lol.
