Dracula finaly dead on brutal.
It took me 26 attempts, but I finally managed to kill him.

One of the most hardcore bosses I've had to do in several years, the last time it was on Vagrant Story against the dragon.

The brutal difficulty wasn't very hard for 80% Boss, it's like a Souls, or Wow, just look patern and reproduce, but Vincent the ice warrior + the priest girl who heal herself were very hard.

But lot of them can be brain with just a rock, solid rock indestructible, rotate/kitting etc.

The problem with Dracula is just one mistake, and you can restart, because even if you dont die, you have less HP pool for phase 3.

The ''partern'' is not fair on phase 3, and a bit stupid considering how low escape the player can do. (Dash or double dash / 8sec CD) (Mass for the Q leap) (Greatsword E) (Dagger Q and E) (Gun E)

And the game is great but have a lot of problem in term of balanced build.

I'm lucky, i always play Necro when i can, and we can do it in this game, but the Necro playstyle is one of the most OP actually + Bow, i feel the melee weapon very useless. The windows for hit Boss at melee is very problematic because after you hit if you dash for avoid the backfire/hit/aoe, you are screwed for the next move of the boss almost resuming by a 50%hp damage.

But, the melee fight is more nervous and fun than just launch some bolt/spell with 10sec CD.

Dagger + Double dash can give at player a feel of some Genji vibe.
Anyway great game, but need some patch for the last boss patern and balance some Spell/Weapon.

Yea for melee builds I feel the Shields you can use (both the Temp HP ones, the Block Projectiles and Block next Melee/Projectile attack) really lack in general, the amount of damage they absorb is just too low. On top of the melee armor sets not really doing enough to help melee survive the AoE spam.

Necro feels pretty OP while soloing as you can just throw all your minions out and focus on avoiding incoming damage. Scholar was the most OP Blood in the EA and it's still the most OP with all the free casts too.

Watched a no hit video he used pistols and swapped to double shields for phase 3. I think the immortal blood lowers your veil CD too.

I started with necro build, but switch to lightning. This is even more op if you open passive skills.

We dropped brutal Dracula as a duo with axe and pistol pair, took us solid 40-60 attempts though since you have to deal with the vampiric curse mechanic if you duo the fight. Its possible as a melee and I think its actually easier on that particular fight.

And here I did Dracula (albeit on normal) with only a great sword doing damage. A few of his moves allows me to go through a whole Blood Rage/Power Surge boost hitting every swing. With Rogue blood I think I could get through stage 1 & 2 without being hit. At that point he is dead on normal, so I think I could get there the same way on Brutal. Stage 3 however, no idea.

On normal, any weapon is pretty much viable. On Brutal, the last phase is a crazy DPS check against a very difficult mobility requiring mechanic. I think Ive yet to see a brutal kill where two counters was not used on p4.

Does normal Drac even get phase 3?

No. Normal Drac is EZ.

I've heard a guy say he did it with Lightning Curtain, which sounds plausible, but it still amounts to very few skills being viable vs Phase 3
DiSiEi May 20, 2024 @ 12:25am
I feel like 2nd phase was harder, since more rng, more overlaps

Last phase was pretty straight forward with 2 counters.

Solarus took me longer to kill... and even that i had to do in coop

The no hit vid was crazy to watch. The best part of of the brutal drac fight is having your items and blood reset on death lol.
Toxi May 20, 2024 @ 1:20am
this last phase is something I'll only try a couple times and then stop. the first 2 phases are really the best parts of this fight and they get boring after a while, something that I only attribute to how terrible that 3rd phase is, because it sours the whole boss fight. Doesn't even seem worth the effort really.

I didn't think the best they had for Dracula's secret final phase, was just him copying Dr. Henry Blackbrew's last move. Even if they had Dracula copy Adam's shtick, I'd take that over this, because right now I think Adam is a much better final boss.

That's too little. It takes more than that to get the timings right. And I don't recommend pistols, unless you're really good with them. I've done it with Slashers.
