Report a translation problem
If you want a plank storage, you should make a generic chest, label it appropriately, and then only put planks in it. When you press E to auto-stack your inventory into the chest, then only planks would be moved.
Regular storages have not only bigger capacity, but you can just put specific items into them and then use the quick transfer ("E") to put only those items into the chests.
But you can't do that with material storages. So imo those are worthless.
Yep that's the point or more specifically the issue with them.
