Give us a damn Pause option, ♥♥♥♥ sakes
How is that a game that can be played offline does not have a Pause option. What is this obsession lately with games always requiring being online or server connected.

I wanna pause my game without having to log out / log in or quitting the game and having everything reset. If i need to take a quick ♥♥♥♥, if i need to asnwer the phone, if i need to open the door.

I've never seen gamers so mad at having to accommodate themselves when they need to step away from the game

Really need a pause option for SP

It's a multiplayer pvp focused game. You playing alone in a private server doesn't mean it's single player offline game. You can't and shouldn't expect to pause a multiplayer pvp game.

the thing is they devloped the game with multiplayer in mind, not solo, even tho irony is, players rather play it solo/offline in most majority.

the results... to play, regardless you'd be solo or multiplayer, the game was based on the use of servers.

even when offline you basically "host" localy your own server on your computer.

you can't "pause" a server.

unless you dedicade yourself to implementing a specific feature for that, which would simulate a freeze effect on the whole command, said command being the server here, needless to say, they didn't.

+1 Would like the ability to pause in single player.

I am a farmer and play during my down time. A pause would be fantastic when I have to run and address animal issues. I haven't unlocked the spider yet...

Strongly disagree. You can implement a mechanic (e.g. writing "!pause" in chat) in all connected players are given time to veto or agree to the server-wide pause, then the game is frozen.

We need the f*cking pause for single player. I hoped they would've added it for 1.0 but I keep being disappointed with every update.

Valheilm did it. When you are in single play you can pause the game. So it can be done.

This is how I feel in every Steam discussion honestly. I go to look for discussions happening about games I am enjoying then it's like people read the first sentence then give up and reply to just that.. then look like idiots cause they didn't bother to read the full thing.

What is this obsession lately with gamers always requiring games being offline or disconnected from servers?? If you need to take a quick break that's a you problem not the game. It'd be like you playing an MMO and being mad you can't pause it when something happens. I've had many times I need to answer the phone or step away for a moment so I quickly find a place to hide or something. In fact on here I have a few places I know are completely safe. Then on top of that you have things like spider form where you can just burrow and be safe from even the sun.

Your entire complaint is hilarious and just the typical you saw servers and wanted to complain that it's online. Add yourself to the list of people that parrot the same things over and over and over demanding changes that will never happen.

i would enjoy a pause button instead of having to completely stop hosting then reboot the entire world every time i wanted to step away without the game advancing

I don't know... maybe it's because there is literally no reason for it to be a thing in the first place?
It's not a "recent obsession". Games being singleplayer, offline, totally disconnected from the internet, was the default state of gaming for decades.

Annoyingly, this game treats solo games as private servers that are hosted by you.

So speaking of acting childish...
