Servant hunt times: Game setting, please For the love of god!
I have come back to this after two years, and am disappointed to find that servant hunt times for single players is completely broken. 24 hours of real life game time for a raid and I will have nearly finished the entire game, rendering it useless. Please make it so the timers are not stupidly long for single player such as myslef. This has to be an initial game setting already.

Right now it seems like the best way to handle servants for single-player use is to just send them out on the shortest possible time for hunts (which is 2 or 4 hours I think) and then just increase their loot-gain in the settings.

It's definitely a much-needed setting to be put back into the game.

Short hunts increase death rate which puts servants out of commission for 45 min.

Sorry but i don't understand the issue here.
At the beginning it was the only annoying downside of playing on a local save that the servant hunt missions and servant conversion timers were tied to the in game time and if you stopped playing it stopped progressing.
During e.a. the devs changed it that these timers are using your system time. So even with a local save they progress even if you don't play.

And it is still working like that. So those are not game time timers but IRL timers.
If it doesn't work like that for you, you maybe changed some settings during game creation.
(can't remember but there was such an option i think when creating a new game)

If you find 24h too long....well..always remember that most people don't play these games every day from morning till middle of the night.

Nearly finished the entire game...lol. Do you keep playing 24/7? you should take a break once a while imo.
It's not as bad as it seems at first. I'm not 100% sure if it depends on the server settings (whether it uses your local time or not), but hunts progress on private servers even when the game is closed.
If you play solo, you can skip it entirely by disconnecting your PC from the net, moving your PC time 24 hours forward, and launching the game again. It's best to disable cloud saving for the time being because disconnecing from the Internet could cause sync issues.

If you're playing 4-5hr long sessions ignore the servant hunts as the time they take will be woefully behind your progression. Maybe do some that focus on research materials you can use to craft through the RNGs love of giving curtains rather than weapons or armour.

They only work "well" if you play for a couple of hours at a time and would spend most of that time grinding on the default gather rates rather than bagging bosses. But even then the rewards for time doesn't seem to match up without tweaking the rates.

On the bright side they don't seem to be the best option for getting fish as I've been getting far more drop from containers and mobs that before 1.0.

Only thing i use servants for is gathering fish as that is one of the most frustrating things to get.

That's because the "feedback" is fundamentally flawed. OP is complaining that timers are too long because they assume that the mission timers don't run while offline, but they do. So the response to "stop playing the game for a while" is valid because the user would return the next day to a completed mission and tons of free resources.

Unless OP is a true vampire gamer, doesn't sleep, and actually intends to play the game 24/7.

I did that this weekend, admittedly. It was shameful. :(

I don't bother with the hunts. My vampire converts look better aimlessly wandering around the castle then spending half my playthru out getting a tiny pile of stuff.
