Brutal is meant to be just that - Brutal. You're always three levels or more behind, which translate into a penalty to damage taken and damage given.
Then how on earth do you kill this thing? I've gotten it to 30% but the explosions are far too large and his range (Before resetting.) doesn't leave much wiggle room.
Alrighty, good to know, thanks for t he tip!
The rotation I used attack him some>dodge away>Wait for explosion>Attack him some>Cold Snap>Run and wait for explosion>Attack him some>dodge away> forever until you win. Honestly, it was such a pain the neck and I died like 10 times. So not worth it, I only did it cos I summoned him in my ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ castle like an idiot.
I have other theories:
- Using servants
- Moving the vermin nest outside and make him aggro enemies
If you're lucky enough to get the double helix mod for the spell, it will summon 2 skeletons instead.
It's how I fight most of the bosses solo tbh.
I just one shot him on brutal, he hits pretty hard though, doesnt need to be changed, its Brutal
His Slam cooldown is way too low and being able to fire those slams without any visual cue, some wind-up or such is plain stupid and simply unfun game design.
Best advice i can give you and anybody else reading this thread: Change difficulty to normal, beat this unfair, unfun fight, change back to brutal and enjoy the progression :)
Don't let any arrogant elitist gatekepper tell you otherwise.
This boss is trivial, it cannot deal AoE damage if it has no direct line of sight on you, so you can just kite it around the Vermin Nest itself with Veil of Bones, Ward of the Damned and Corrupted Skull. It gets bogged down in summons and you just land a couple of hits and Mace Q on it right after it does AoE, summon something on it and back off, then repeat once AoE is done.
EZ AF.
If you think Brutal Nibbles is OP you aren't gonna get very far in the rest of your Brutal run, whether or not you turn the difficulty down for the fight. It only gets harder from there.
You just said two necro abilities. By the time you encounter nibbles, you have 1 necro ability. So you just basically said, come back later. Which is what the 2nd person in my post said. The actual answer, is avoid nibbles (As rat form isn't needed.) and go and gear up via a bit more. Gaining 2-3 gear scores was enough to make a difference, as was having completed gear sets.
Respect your opinion, but the forums exist to discuss things. I got my answer and someone revived the thread because they were obviously going to post about the same thing.
