Dont get me wrong, some of them are cool, like the tailor grandma transforming into a demon, but a lot of it is just more dudes for you to fight.
Or a combination of all the above.
Just in the first zone.
Wolf new move: No fatigue on charge
Frost Archer: Cloak explosion underneath you (doesnt even spawn adds)
Rufus: Rain of arrows
Stonebreaker: Lets hear that crunch has an added large immediate aoe under him.
Goreswine: Skull bouncing leaving puddles (doesnt even spawn adds)
Grayson: More projectiles on his ranged grab
Lidia: Time to take a chance (doesnt even spawn adds)
Clive: Sticky bomb
Polora: Full Aoe ball attack
Bear: New adds, no fatigue on multi charge
Nicolas: Teleport now creates skull circle projectiles
King: Throws a fast axe if youre at range, no fatigue on multi charge
Fish guy wasnt in the game when I played normal so cant say for him. Hes a joke though.
Next zone tailor turns into a demon... frost guy has a passive frost damage slow and more projectiles....
Like the list goes on.
So one guy, the bear, has additional new minions to fight. And every other boss has a new mechanic unrelated to additional mobs.
as for bosses spawning more adds, while annoying they can also be used to your advantage, such as using them to feed/bite attack to avoid other attacks, or to leech life or summon via condem.
brutal changes things up, also it's more indepth than just 1 new ability. for example Lydia fires 5 shots instead of 3, and turns faster, and jade fires 3 snipershots back to back, and even her ultimate twice in a row, and most ranged bosses have far better predictive aiming now too.
i've been playing v rising a very long time and these changes are quite fun (though i'm only 1 boss into act IV, so i can't say how hard later bosses will be)
Solo Brutal so far seems fine to me, then again the base game is brain dead easy, you can kill Tristan in the starting zone with regular copper if you run into him on normal.
So I guess just keep practicing its all pattern recognition.
