Castles seem too small?
Looking at the screenshots and trailers then comparing to the land I actually have available, it feels like i'd need a full third of my base to build just one of the huge, imposing rooms they show on promotional content. There's no room for all the ginormous crafting stations, especially not when you need to build smaller rooms for the flooring bonus. I feel like I have to build some sort of hotel or department store instead of a castle, with a nicely decorated first floor and then a bunch of crafting stations on another floor or two. It feels lame.

PS: Why is bear form terrible? You'd think it would be great at mining small ores too but nope. Why doesn't it have like 300% bonus attack against minerals and trees?

These limits need to be raised in the future. PC specs are ever growing and there's no reason to keep them capped so small. It's like the settlement limit in Fallout 4 still being capped for the Base PS4 version.

I hope in the future the developers add a new area with bigger plots or an entirely new map.

There is plenty of room. Make a multi-floor castle with teleporters. Think there's 5 floors you can work with? 5 or 6. Can't remember.

I think 6 is the limit, but really, plots are big enough and 4 floors are more than enough if you ask me, I don't know why, I think some people would like to build real life football stadiums.

Yeah I still have another half of my plot to expand upon. All my stuff is tucked away in the corner of my area.

Also, just fyi, the castle that appears in the screenshots for the legacy of castlevania DLC (which rather ugly build if you ask me), has 3 floors with invisible foundation build for each level.

Castles are historically very well known for being built like a Costco. Just big flat squares. Every castle. It's also the most easily defensible option. The brainrot in the teens that frequent steam forums instead of actual communities is staggering. ///
Vampires weren’t real and didn’t own castles either.

lol i literary just had a thread on this that got locked. the promo stuff is 1) old ie: pre gloomrot when you could still actually build castles, and 2) deceptive. you cant actually build those any more without cheats. the building lots were carved into these tiny useless hunks. totally ruined the game. now they want you to build towers, because every one knows vampires are known for there towers lol.
This person never got griefed on the old system trust me on a competitive pvp server the new system is far superior, I rather spend my time farming instead of door camping to force someone to move that's blocking my lot.

Just an interesting addendum to the upping of castle stories/floors. If you've changed it from the default you can also already find it in the settings override file for your server, and if you change it to 10 or 20 in that file you will be able to build castles that high. At least it worked fine in EA, haven't actually tested it in 1.0 but I doubt that has changed.

Big flat squares?
Edinburgh and Stirling castles are both parked on volcanic plugs, nothing square about their outer walls. That's just two obvious examples from a single nation with a myriad of others from across europe (area and time period relevant to the game) which conform to geographical location far more than some ikea design ethos.
The flat squares were many centuries earlier than medieval times during the roman empire days and were more like contained military barracks than castles which had fewer defenders on hand.

They kinda fixed the issue of castle space being limited by adding the option to go up several levels. I've reached the max and i've more than half of the space....empty right now.

As for the bear, yeah they should get a buff towards mining or even being able to destroy weak wooden gates/barricades. My choice is the rat for sneak in and the bat to save time in long distance travels.

The castles on videos and trailers are all possible to replicate in game. I think the problem is that people don't have a sense of scale. You don't need to lay out 30~40 tiles for a room when you can do a much better looking room with enough space for everything with just a tenth of that.
