I hope in the future the developers add a new area with bigger plots or an entirely new map.
I think 6 is the limit, but really, plots are big enough and 4 floors are more than enough if you ask me, I don't know why, I think some people would like to build real life football stadiums.
Big flat squares?
Edinburgh and Stirling castles are both parked on volcanic plugs, nothing square about their outer walls. That's just two obvious examples from a single nation with a myriad of others from across europe (area and time period relevant to the game) which conform to geographical location far more than some ikea design ethos.
The flat squares were many centuries earlier than medieval times during the roman empire days and were more like contained military barracks than castles which had fewer defenders on hand.
As for the bear, yeah they should get a buff towards mining or even being able to destroy weak wooden gates/barricades. My choice is the rat for sneak in and the bat to save time in long distance travels.
