The Foggy Castle, My Cape, and the Curse
Solo, PvE, Private, Killed Dracula, and wanted to build a nice castle.
So looked for the largest good shaped plot I could find, which happens to be in the North Western most corner of The Cursed Forest and I've found a couple issues;

The fog still builds while you're inside a castle without the curse cape on. I don't think this should be the case and the fog shouldn't build if you're in your own castle, it's your castle and it just makes making a castle in the area a massive inconvenience when it has possibly the best build plot now.

Since the fog builds you're forced to switch capes constantly inside your castle, it would be nice if the piece of armour that you have altered a appearance on (in this case invisible) would remember it's settings, so switching capes constantly to live in the fog wouldn't make the capes reappear again and instead remain invisible after switching.

Or instead of fixing either of these things there could be an additional recipe that unlocks with the cape that can be put in the brazier instead of bones to make the fog not affect an area around it.

It's just a shame that, what appears to be, the best plot for building on is in the area with the least incentives and most inconvenience to build.

We really should've gotten a recipes for wisp lamps and other curse lifting items from cursed bosses. Same could be said about getting lighting rods for north gloom. Even if they function in one area it'd still be nice to have something to counter the environment effects.

Here's a thought they could of just added a dedicated server option to control the maximum amount of stacks. (Since the original launch didn't have it)

But no we can't have that option so we're forced to suffer.

Yeah...i recently moved there, the fog is diff annoying, another suggestion is add is add more stair variety, and implement ladders, so that you can climb the smaller buildings that the stairs are too big for. While im add it add smaller throne options, so you can build a throne with a floor above it.

I like the idea of curse lifting items :D
Hopefully the devs see that suggestion and picks it up :)

or add the curse resistance to equal tier capes

Yeah I agree with you chief, even before the games full release for a long time there was a nice plot of land in the cursed forest that I’ve always wanted to build a cool haunted house themed type of base on. But yeah that curse makes it a bit lame when you want to try and implement and use a viable base in that region too, without your map and such being effected by that negative status effect.

Hopefully there’ll be something the developers could implement for players to be able to control the effect that curse has on you, even just a setting slider for it in the server settings menu for people to reduce its effect or something, just for those who want to check out that region for aesthetics rather than that mechanic, yeah something like that would be nice. Or even just being in your house could negate its effect like you said. But yeah, I do agree on the point in general.

A fog horn?

the final cape tier should just provide a similar anti curse effect. haveing to carry around that extra cape just for this small world area feels off. you hardly spent time there later on.

in the console give item list, at least when i looked pre 1.0, there was an item for an elixir that cured the fog curse (or at least reset it) when drank. going off that idea I think it would be nice if we could make elixirs to make us immune to the fog for an hour (as all other potions are an hour it makes sense) and that would allow us to wear our stat cape while being able to traverse the cursed forest.
