Where did the discount go?

The game went from $20 to $40, but then they did a 10% discount.

Does someone need a calculator? That's an 80% increase.

In some countries, it is illegal to advertise an item as a discount when the original price was recently half the price (6 weeks ago).

Nothing is preventing you of raising the price of a good product and adjusting it as needed, but don't call it a discount when it is not. The term you are looking for is "price adjusted".

Some might say it was a different product due to being unfinished hence why the lower regular price, but that argument is a lie as it became the same product once the game went live.

I still plan on buying the game when it is truly on a discount and yes, I would have bought at $36 if its original price was $40, not $20. I only buy game that are discounted, but this isn't a discount, its a trap! It's not a cost issue as I once spent $1000 on a single game because its value was worth it. It's a matter of principle; truth in advertisement. Thank you

I had a stroke trying to read this but the game was $20 because it was in early access.(which it had about 30% of the content at EA launch that it has now btw) It's now finished and the final price has gone up to $40 because the game is complete and so is the risk taken for EA
is gone as well. The 10% discount is just something everyone does when they launch on steam. Every game in EA has done this price model or will do it.

I missed discount as well but i dont care. This game worth it at it's full price 100% for me and im more than happy to support the devs by paying it's full price.
