You don't need to craft everything in game. Half resourses you can get from chests-npc's. Half you can get from traders. Like recipes, drinks, schemes of weapons or armor. Coins you can farm from npc's in crazy ammount. So there is no problem.
For fast travel you can use portals without resources. Or you can use bat form to fly across entire map in huge speed.
Best way is to farm resources - bat form and just fly around. Against different debuffs there is elixirs. To buff yourself you can use same elixirs or craft or drop from npc's some shards. t3 shards often drops in moor or gloom or silverlight. If you need 100% blood npc, roam a little around silverlight zone.
Best spot for base - right in the middle of dunley farms. There is huge area with lake. So you can create giant base or smaller one with gardens and free access to fishing.
I gave up my Brutal save, becuase yes, its very hard.
I tryed normal mode and yes, it was too easy ( ive been to Quincey after few hours without any death .. )
FInally im back on brutal, and yes, you have to try hard, yes its hard.... but i think its balanced , maybye the Farbane is little too hard because you dont have any buff...
It will be easier with some practice.
here's how i beat styx on brutal
Skill Use : Frost Barrier + Blood Rite
Utilize long-range weapons , these will significantly ease your gameplay.
Optionally, Equip A Full Set Movement Boost (Shadow Moon Set + 100% Rogue Blood + Unyielding Charger accessory).
He will randomly hurl two orbs in different directions towards you. Avoid them by either walking or dodging.
When he taunts and his body begins to glow, he is about to unleash a 360-degree projectile; deploy the frost barrier to deal insane amount of damage to boss
When he dashes forward toward you, move from side direction to avoid his attack ( dont panic or get jebaited to use your dodge always stay at mid-range. after that he will automatic initiate a jumping attack, requiring you to utilize your dodge or defensive skill. if you get hit get ready either time the dodge or use bloodrite to avoid the after effect explosion
Upon reaching 50% HP, he will summon two gargoyles. Dispatch them swiftly using the special skill Lightning Typhoon , this will easily eliminate the minions.
When his HP drops to around 30%, he will unleash his special skill, causing the environment to dim. Retreat and seek cover from the large blood crystal.
hence and repeat.
for me he is the most balance & manageble like octavian. there's a rhythm to his attack and you can memorize it by retrying many times , unlike other bosses that has ridiculous spamming aoe's on ground ( i hate the spider boss )

The bosses were a lot harder during early access, more players would cause the bosses to gain a mass of hp and the bosses mechanics would go wild, it was brutal, 4+ players would make the bosses practically invincible and players would be dying left and right. I actually enjoyed the game a lot more back then, when the game was less refined.
Now it's much easier playing with more players, we can just mow down the bosses. Playing solo is actually much harder.
