Also you will have every resource available for you and most importantly if you don't like to farm for hours like me, you can increase the resources and customize a lot more things like 6 floors castles and stuff like that.
You can also play with friends if you want in your custom settings servers wich is far better than official imo.
Oh and about the solo experience, every boss can be done solo so don't worry about that but obviously it will be easier with other people.
False.
Well... I bought the game today... just to play solo... and stick the whole day to it.
Clearing bosses up to GearLevel 47 until now. Only "issue" which leads to death sometimes is, wrong spell selection for a boss. Change up. come back. kill.
No issue solo. I can recommend it.
Just tune some farming values up and speed the crafting, reduce the decay of your castle. Done.
I did not change any damage or drop stuff.
multiplier is a + but not required.
if you were there on prior big update release and did your time there and then, you'll find the measy to deal with again by yourself.
not to mention you have a relax setting that make them utterly weak compared to "normal"
I sit there and mess with it for 10 or 15 min, trying to look up what the sliders do, and what base values are, until I just say screw it and close the game.
They are the devs, they know what this ♥♥♥♥ does, and how to properly balance rulesets for different scenarios, and the best way to experience their game. Not me, a dude who has never even played, and don't know the basics or how long things take. I don't even know how many players default settings are balanced for to start adjusting, and I don't wanna keep testing and making adjustments. Just add a solo PVE ruleset, or really just single player ruleset. Really, it seems like a common sense basic thing, yet its missing. I didn't think too much of it in EA, but its post 1.0, and its STILL missing.
Regardless if I ever want to play online or not, I'm going to learn the game and familiarize myself with its mechanics by playing through, before going online, some people don't have time, some people only wanna play solo. It's a pretty big part of the playerbase going by posts, reviews, and videos I see, not like its a small handful of players part of some niche group. It doesn't really encourage people to just play online or in a group by not having the ruleset, either, its just an annoyance.
Kinda pointless searching for "single player custom ruleset" as well, since many of them are like pushed to the point of feeling like cheating or "creative mode", with massive boosts and instead of a proper challenging but fair solo experience. They're just a single persons opinion, based on their player preferences for their specific situation, and likely someone who has significant time already playing. Only the devs can really set it up to give the intended experience based on their vision of how long or difficult the game should be for a new/first time player. You don't know what you don't know. I need to properly balance it to play, but i need to play to know how to properly balance it...
