I've always thought this genre had the most potential for growth. It seems that most devs just repeat the same thing they've seen in other games though, so it takes forever to see any kind of growth or innovation in games. That's why every game seems like another game. It'll never change until it stops selling too, so maybe never. It's why CoD makes the same game every year. Consumers are just too easy to please really.
