Steamdeck compability.

This post is just info for people who were wondering like me if the game runs on the steam deck and how is it. And also use the search option.

The game runs great on default settings average 50fps. You can probably get 60 fps if you turn everything on Low.

Controller controls are great. Camera turning can be better however if you press Y it centers the camera to where the caracter is facing. So it's no issue.

Some text can be a bit smaller but if you press left trigger + Steam button + right mousepad you can zoom and move your camera. However I have no problems with the text. It's not that small.

The game can be played completely Offline isngle player and your world is saved in the Steam cloud so you can play offline on your deck and on your PC with no problems.

Good to hear, I played it before 1.0 on SteamDeck using a modified community layout and it worked OK, but it did chug a bit. Also good to hear it's nearer the 50/60FPS now.

Wish I could play on my server with steamdeck but it won't let me enter passwords. Good to know it works well single player though.

why doesn't it? You can open the virtual keyboard with steam button + x. Maybe an FYI if you didn't know (if they keyboard doesnt appear on it's own and that was your issue).

I can open the keyboard, but I cannot select the text box for anything I input to actually go into the password box. So I can type the password but it does not input into the box

I really wish I didn't need to toggle a button to turn the camera - feels weird and clunky and I'm basically constantly hitting Y to recenter the camera. I'm sure I'll get used to it eventually but right now it's kinda frustrating.

I'm troubleshooting the same exact issue right now. I used the touchscreen to select the text box, which allowed the password to be input via keyboard...but it would seem that this makes v rising think that I'm using mouse & keyboard I can't really play the game even though I have successfully connected to the server.

On Rog Ally, high settings running 60fps. Looks good and plays well. Some controls in settings I’m not able to change w/ drop down menu.

Agree with above post, I hate I have to hit Y to adjust camera all the time. How is there no lock option front facing view?
