Hiding castle heart

Whats the best tactic for hiding it for when the raids happen


I'm not new to the game but this is my first time where I have to "Lead" a group of new players where as before I was the new player being lead and a lot of stuff was done for me so I missed a few things on how the game works

Or hide it as close to the entrance as you can and hope they rush to the deepest part of your castle looking for it and not noticing they just passed it.

But in most cases it doesn't really mater as when they raid when you are not there they will find it pretty fast anyway before you can really respond. And when you are there to counter the raid and are strong enough to defend then it doesn't matter if they find your heart or not. Though I would say move it to a different location afterwards if they did manage to find it before you could kick them out.

If a castle heart is destroyed how easy is it to break walls?

for example if they eat my castle heart and the only way to get access to my loot room is the go through 50 walls in a long corridor, do I have time to escape with my stuff to a nearby freinds castle?
