I could not imagine being stuck as a lvl 1 in a well developed server with high levels and grinding while you get clapped by max levels lol, this leveling system is perfect for a game like this, so a friend can join to help out and you have their gear ready for them.
But if it aint for you, its all g bro, plenty of mainstream games with normal leveling systems out there.

Game was never meant to be an experience leveling RPG.
It’s a survival crafting first and foremost, thus, has a progression system which involves crafting

This is like me going into the Elden Ring forum and complaining there is no base building mechanic

So how is it that a game that only rewards you for what you actually ACHIEVE is a bad thing?

Compared to a game that rewards you for SIMPLY grinding the same thing over and over?

There's a lot to be said for this type of leveling system compared to the OLD, GENERIC systems of ancient times.

Don't get me wrong, those types still have their place. It's just refreshing to see a new take on certain things in certain genres of games.

The point you made isn't the real issue. It's how you made the point that matters. You basically stated it's a GAME issue; not a preference of you, the player.

If you're gonna "bash" a game for one simple issue that you don't like; at least give some reasons (or even ONE) as to why you don't like it.

I normally prefer EXP lvling systems too, but this system has its advantages too, such as never having to worry about EXP grind and being able to treat it more like an adventure.

Considering there already is grind for the crafting, I feel that was not a bad choice.

You do realize that unlike a classic system this allows a group of friends with different amounts of free time to enjoy together the same boss&region hunts while also allowing a higher level player to 'down grade' himself freely to mash together with a weaker team so he doesn't show up as Joey 'big banana' 50lvls higher then a boss and proceeds to two-shot the sucker while the rest of the team goes like 'whow thanks, wtf man will never going to play with you ever again'

it would be nice to have like a lvl 1-20 system on top of the system they have that would allow you some extra wiggle room to tweak a build. Like allow you to increase a sat by say 1% per lvl that you could throw in either atk spd, hp, damage ect. Some of the random skill gems you get are just so damn annoying to find at the quality I want them at that I would rather "level" those then try to actually find the ones I want.
