Solo Settings?
I have no idea why they didn't just include a solo PvE ruleset, most of these settings are utterly meaningless to people who haven't played the game. Google is being as useless as it always is for early access games and only yielding results that are years out of date, can somebody break down all the server settings they find enjoyable for solo play?

So far the only thing I've got is around 2-3x rate for crafting and stacks etc. I have no clue what to do about rifts, castle sizes and all the other options. I don't want to have to abandon a playthrough after hours because I made something too hard/easy or too fast/slow.

Thanks, so rift settings and castle sizes are good with the default settings?

Castle sizes yes (or you can just make everything to max if you like building a lot). No idea about rifts, haven't played them yet.

I did two full playtroughs with 2x drops as you did (same teleport settings and bigger castles as well). The refinement rate and crafting rate i usually put only on 2-3. For 1.0 i'm trying to play with default refinement :D we will see how that goes.
Servants are kinda whatever to me since you can't really use them in solo play.
That begs the question why has there never been a setting to make them viable in solo.

Numerous people have requested it in early access. Someone made a mod (probably broken atm) that allowed you to tweak the hunt times, considering they are intended to be used on servers running 24/7. Didn't feel overpowered, felt fine.

The default teleportation limit is a massive waste of time in solo. When you get comfortable with the game, the risk of dying to the environment while travelling is small. So you wont even get a sense of excitement, its just a time sink hauling stuff back to base. Build a base near a teleporter (early game, later doesn't matter) and enjoy.

If you dont want to play every day, decrease the castle blood drain and/or decay! Game time will progress even if you are not playing

All the base settings assume PvP environment, its balancing and needs. The default super long crafting and refinement times are a useless nuisance in solo. On the other hand too much loot kind of makes the pacing off. Unless you are immensely averse to grinding, even a little, and want to just breeze through everything, I'd leave the loot multipliers a bit lower.

Items:
Inventory Stacks Multiplier - 3
Loot Multiplier - 1,25
Servant Hunt Multiplier - 1,5
Material Yield Multiplier - 1,25

Building:
up all the limits castle limits, so that its a nice progression from tier1-5, with max available on t5
Crafting Rate - 6
Refinement Rate - 4
Servant Convert Rate - 4
