No dev company cares about the individual.
I seriously doubt players voted to remove features and settings.
I imagine it's the rate at which trees and rocks are destroyed, as in, how many strikes it takes to break rocks and cut down trees?
some removed settings include: the ability to adjust enemy/boss health/dmg as well as effectiveness of modifiers such as silver/garlic/sun as well as setting unlock progress at server start. or the ability of manually changing the level/difficulty of every boss independent of every other boss
You could modify the sun damage done to your liking (like nothing for example).
Same for silver damage.
There is one more from the top of my head but its kinda spoilery so i will not write it down here.
And i personaly want a blood always 100% option, i am to old to search for ♥♥♥♥ like this.
That is a bummer. I was looking for an those options earlier when I set up a session. Instead of just over tuning your dmg the individual adjustments were nice for the "raid like" boss types. Soloing everything up until Adam, Adam was just sadly to difficult for me to solo at the time, adjusting his max hp was perfect without screwing up the dmg balance of the weapons for the rest of the game. No idea why they would remove that let alone the silver and sun settings.
I need to look again but there were multiple tabs, wondering if I missed some options.
Nope the units section was completely yoinked for some reason.
A lot of the changes just look like busy work given to new hires to justify writing their check instead of letting them go.
Several settings cap at 3 instead of 5 now. The setting itself isn't removed, but the cap was lowered. Why? Who would vote for such an arbitrary thing?
Blood Drain Rate is gone. No point in removing that as an option. I can't imagine anyone would have voted to outright remove it, either.
I can't even find any settings related to bosses at all.
Can't find any settings related to enemies in general.
I'm sure if I took the time to dig through my old serving setting files I could find more stuff that's been removed. I'm failing to understand the purpose or motivation of removing settings that were perfectly fine to have available. I truly cannot fathom anyone voting to remove and change options like what's been done. Like I said above, this feels like a case of "busy work for the new hires" instead of anything that was actually voted on.
And on top of that, I went to your little site, and it's pointless. There's 3 whole posts now, including mine. There's virtually no traffic compared to player count. This isn't a solution, it's your way of sweeping things under the rug. You "answered" a question I didn't ask and directed me to the trash chute where I can scream into the void.
EDIT: Turns out that as the TC, I can remove the non-answer marked answer. Hilarious.
The problem I have is that I tend to enjoy the framework that survival crafting games are built on, and despise the tedious meters you have to watch, and the sheer time it takes to grind resources. Grind is fine. The amount of time I stood hitting a tree with TWO axes is not. The entire reason I actually liked this game is because it let me play the way I want. If it's not going to do that, then it's just another tedious game that I have no interest in playing. I want to enjoy the parts I enjoy, without slogging through the BS that I don't.
