Alternative Furniture Removed?

Love the new update and all the new storage options for the various different items in the game, but it looks like in doing so they removed the additional bookshelf styles (used to be 3 small and 3 large if I remember correctly) and now it looks like there is just 1 large and 1 small. and also seem to have removed the alternative cupboard options as well (there's now 2 where i'm sure there was 4 before)
any reason this variety was removed, the menu's seem to allow you to nestle the items inside,
(the bookcases now are under storage > Knowledge storage) so why not have the additional options pop out from here.

odd that an update that brings a bunch of additional items would also remove quite a few,

unless I'm going mad and they are just somewhere else I haven't found?
