I feel like social contract is absolutely dead with gaming companies and they can't do the bare minimums nowadays, like oh, i don't know, sell a functioning product?
Didn't they? You can self-host. That's far above and beyond what most online games do these days.
Thank you for reaching out!
We understand that you are having issues with your servers. For this, we would like to refer you to our official discord channel's tech-help section for assistance. You may also join the Discord server if you haven't yet

Hope this helps!
Except the OP is talking about official servers. There is nothing in Discord or on the Stunlock website to address issues with the official servers. As of right now, the game is unplayable on official servers due to constant 2-3 minute lag spikes
But they sold a functioning product, and it is in fact playable by other means in the meantime.
How is this even remotely helpful for official servers lol. I've been trained by the game now to where if I move an item I dont just spam it I go watch youtube for 30 seconds, it will move eventually.
Lmao, it's wild that people's solutions to this problem is to "host myself." That's wild bro, they don't even let people play solo anymore on launch, if being online is a requirement, expecting the developers to host semi working servers on day 1 is a reasonable expectation, no? I can't even login, or play, and I basically missed the whole release. I fronted them the cash for YEARS to have a functioning product on release, and they give me a non-useful response. Lovely. Negative feedback, and moving on. Thank you for being the one person to read and at least try to explain my opinion better. I feel like "fanboys" will justify anything nowadays. Gaming Industry has no integrity nowadays.
Most games out there don't even give you the option to host yourself, and you just deal with this with no recourse. Worse still is that those games will inevitably shut down someday. In this case you have recourse. The game's servers should work, but problems like this happen so frequently, and you DO have a way to play this game while they're having problems. I can't be a fanboy of a game I haven't played yet. I'm just glad they didn't do some always-online nonsense like most multiplayer games these days. This game does not require you to be online.
No offense dude, you shouldn't have to play on your own servers on Day 1 of a game release. That's insane and a TON of work just to play a bunch of content I've already played + maybe some new content at end. I'm on the brink of refunding this game, I've been a big supporter of theirs for years now, and it's currently buggier than when EA was released. I can't play AT ALL rn.
Thanks for the useless answer.
I GET to play on my own server on day 1 of the game's release. It's why I bought THIS game and not Nightingale or Last Epoch.
Hello fellow green weenie recipient. I got a useless response from mods above, it's definitely on their end. Like bro, as a casual observer that's been here in EA for a while now, this has happened last time there was a major content rehaul. This is a "release." And hands down, worst day 1 servers I've seen for a game since... I was born in 1995?
They even increased the price of the game, did they not? They can't buy something other than potatoes to power the servers?
